I agree with Natalie...we're all coming next time on your new post-MBA salary :) Love the pictures and it sounds like you guys had a ton of fun, like usual. What a great way to celebrate the week before your birthday!
awesome i did the vang vieng tubing last summer, and loved it! in case you're interested, i wrote a story about it today, absolutely ridiculously hilarious, i feel like only people that have been there recently know the craziness that is the mekong river in vang vieng. but anyway, if you feel like reading a story, it's on shotjot.com
Silly question I really enjoyed reading about your trip. My husband and I are leaving for Cairo in 2 weeks. We will be cruising the Nile, too. YEAH! I am concerned that we bring the correct clothing for the weather. I see that one of you is wearing a shawl, and the other is wearing short sleeves. What should I bring? We are allowed only one suitcase per person. Thanks for any advice you can give us.
Wow! You're there!! I can't begin to describe how excited I was when I woke up this morning and had a blog from you and Haley in Egypt. I couldn't wait to see your pictures and read your blog. Chris, this was like a stroll back along memory lane with you. I'm so happy you're enjoying Egypt even more so this time around. It was such a thrill for us when you came over to visit for your first time. We still laugh about you dressed in a galibayah walking around Rd 9 in Ma'adi.
There's nothing quite like seeing the ancient pyramids in person to put history and time in perspective. Enjoy your stay and we can't wait to see all your pictures when you return. Bev

Looks like an awesome trip, Chris!! The Oregon coastline is definitely inspiring, and clearly you picked a great time of year to see all the greenery. If you ever need a guide around parks in Utah or Colorado, let me (or better, my dad) know and we'd be more than happy to show you around.
Yes I could have C'mon Chris.....you don't think I could have pulled myself up stell cables hiking up on a 70 degree incline? Yeah, you're probably right. I can't imagine Death Valley without air conditioning. Your photos are awesome but where is the one with you winning at craps?

Travelling is a passion of mine and I think it is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I got interested in other cultures at a young age when I visited a friend in Egypt. I did a few months trekking around Europe after college. Then a few years later I went for a year long solo trip around the world. That was sooooo amazing (the bulk of these blogs are from that trip). Since then I met an amazing woman (Haley) and she and I try to visit at least one new country a year (more like 2). Check out my stuff, I hope you enjoy it.
...get out there and experience the world!... full info
