Nice Pics
Hi B, Thanks for the shout out and posting the pictures. I feel like a celebrity! Hope the food channel doesn't call right away.....too busy yet for my own show. But really, it was great to have you home and to have a chance to visit. Enjoyed the write up on the trip and getting to see all the pictures.

Pizza on the Smoker

Looks yummy!
I've never thought about doing pizzas in the smoker. Sounds interesting! But it will have to wait a while since Bart's smoker bit the dust during the last big storm this summer! :( The next trip to Peru sounds exciting! :)

Love this pic
Great pic of you two! Peru sounds fab. My friends Alison and Ivan lived there for many years (he is Peruvian) before coming to live in Evanston. It is a trip I wish I had made while they still lived there. Come to Chicago while you are counting down the months and days!!

Peru wines
Hello! Just been reading through your blog. Since your next trip is Peru, & you mentioned that you like trying wines while travelling, I'd definitely recommend spending a couple of days in Ica - the wine capital of Peru. You can get fantastic tours of a few local bodegas that produce Peruvian wines, and dozens of places that produce pisco brandy just outside town. They all do tastings as well. Personally, the wines weren't quite to my taste (Peruvians like their food & drink eye-wateringly sweet!) but it was a great experience and well worth doing. Best of luck with your trip, Richard

It's Great to Hear from You
Hi Richard, Thanks for the recommendation. I am wavering on whether to go to Ica, but this helps the decision. I hope you are having a great trip. Look forward to reading about it when you have a chance to blog. Brendan

Reacquainting...
Hi Brendan, it's been years since we've communicated with each other. I'm so glad that you got your wish to be able to travel the world. It sounds like you're having a great time. Good for you. I still have many pics of you in your early twenties from various parties we were at together. For anyone just getting to know Brendan, his height is only outmeasured by his huge, warm, caring heart! You are still as beautiful as ever. I hope to hear from you soon buddy. Take care and be well. XOXO.

What an adventure!
I'm finally in wifi land and catching up. What a fantastic trip you had in Patagonia--I especially love your photos and stories from this amazing day! Look forward to reading about your Peruvian travels. Go Adventure Brenden!

Thank you so much Tara, I have read several of yours. Not only are the well written and photographed, but you are traveling in parts of the world I am starting to enjoy. I really appreciate the nice comment and will make sure that Adventure Brendan is ready for Peru. (actually my trainer at the gym is pushing me so I am ready for high altitude walking)

It was so difficult to choose which blog or photo to comment on...
as I was enjoying many of them. I eventually chose this one over the Iguazú National Park blog because the penguins' cuteness demands comment. Even the video of them slipping into the water is so ticklish and playful. I believe you regarding the Rhubarb Cake. It never sounds delicious, but if the chef knows how to handle the plant, it can be delectable surprise.

Thank you Michelle. I agree that the penguins are deserving of special attention. Walking on the island with them, hearing them and watching them was pretty darn special.

Amazing pics...what an experience!!!
i vote for adventure Brendan over pamper Brendan for a few years at least...when you are older you can do the pamper Brendan routine...do the adventure while the body cooperates!!
26th March 2012

You know Doug, I would have to agree. Adventure Brendan actually carried home the hiking boots that Pamper Brendan wanted to throw away. His thought was that there are a lot more places to hike.

hi from Argentina
I am glad to know you enjoyed Argentina. There is a lot more to see, of course. Leave it for a second time... What you ate are "empanadas", something we like so much, filled with minced meat, corn, chicken, fish, whatever comes to your mind. Each province has its typical empanada. Food is great in Argentina, not the best in the world, but great. Hugs. Graciela.
25th March 2012

Thank you Graciela, I am glad that you followed along with my blog. I am now a huge fan of those empanadas. Well heck, I am a huge fan of your country. I am very excited to come back and see more. And again, thanks. B

Rhubarb?
Hi B, Wow, after looking at your pictures I could see myself visiting Argentina. I had no idea that it was that cold and snowy. Will get mom and dad to look at your pictures. Mom won't believe the penguin ones. You know how she likes them. That being said, I can't believe you raved about rhubarb cake. Almost ruined the whole page for me :-) Have fun and be safe.
19th March 2012

Oh Ted, you and rhubarb. I actually thought of you and how much you hate it when I ordered it. Glad you like the blogs. And thank you. I had planned on asking you to show Mom and Dad the penguin pics and the train one for Dad. In Buenos Aires now. Hot and humid. Ugh.

Ushuai Day 2 214

Another day of learning for me!
Dear Brendan, I love the different lighting on your mountain shots. There are some lovely effects. The end of the world is a beautiful place. Number 214 is my favorite today. I never even knew this place existed until you told me you were going to go here when I came over to see you at your mom and dad's house. Thanks again for posting all these blogs. They are great! Love, Connie

Ushuai Day 2 214

Thank you Connie, ·214 was taken just as we were about to sail into the Ushuaia Bay. It is difficult to see, but the town is nestled at the bottom of the picture. That is how beautiful this place is. I am so grateful to be able to be here and to be able to share all of this with you and my friends. B

Penguins!!!
B- Love the penguin pics! They are so cute. Okay, I love all your pics. I shared the blog with Rebecca and James, and now they love them, too. Rebecca asked if she could post some on her tumblr with a link back to your blog. What do you think? The teacher in me also enjoyed giving them a little geography lesson. lol -V
19th March 2012

Absolutley Val, I would be honored. Part of the travel exerience is to share what I have seen and experienced. And thank you, I loved the penguin pictures as well as the others. It will take some time to decide what ones to print. B

Looks like fun!
Looks like you're having a great time! Love the pictures. Personally, I would prefer the warmer places you've been....but the glacier looked awesome! Just a little too cold for me! lol
19th March 2012

I would have thought so as well Deb, but I think the beauty of it was more than the cold. I am so glad I came all the way down here. But, back up the the heat tomorrow in Buenos Aires.

Thanks Robin, I have to say that I am still thinking of that Crab Parmesan. This trip as a whole has been truly amazing. Glad you are following it.
18th March 2012

Wow!!
Hi Brendan, as always, love following your travels. This place looks amazing. So beautiful and serene. Wishing for a bite of the king crab Parmesan yumminess! Have fun.
