6th March 2013

I just finished reading Justange's blog about her horrible trip to Cuba...
you both have the right attitude about glitches...go with the flow...she sure was put to the test though. Hope you adapt to the altitude...I live at 8500 feet so hope 12000 feet won't affect me too much when I go there. Also looking forward to your blogs...good research!

You made it!!
So happy to see this entry today! Don't they have that bottled oxygen in Cusco you can buy? Thought I saw it there for the altitude sickness...But I think a long nap and a massage was a better investment. A pounding headache is no way to start a trip. Sorry to hear. I'm already looking forward to your next entry. Best!

We hope your headache quickly dissipates -- enjoy the rest as you definitely deserve it after all your hard work stateside. We hope that the story we shared about the driver and the belt did not unsettle you on this trip and that you got the personal driver strictly for Pamper Brendan's sake, but keep practicing your various accents anyway, hehehe.

Hope your head stops hurting...im waiting the next blog!
Pampering Brendon made me realise i have a Empress Cindy who likes a spot of luxury every now n then. Sure the coca tea will help with the altitude thing looking forward to the next installment :)

He forgot to sign in! You will love the Sacred Valley. The flowers were blooming when we were there. Dave and I love someone picking us up with our name on a sign. Feels like the rich and famous...plus when you are tired and jet lagged it takes the guess work out of it.
6th March 2013

I was able to figure it out from the email
It was a beautiful day down in the Sacred Valley today. I will blog about it tonight. And yes, it does smack of the rich and famous when someone holds a sign up for me. Was very well worth it yesterday for sure.

Hope you're having fun!
Hope your headache is gone and travel Branden has made hia enthusiastic appearance! I envy you!

Thank you Jackie
Good to see you are on the blog. I am feeling much better this morning. It is no longer pounding. Still there, but much more subtle now.

Pamper Brendan
I love that you have "Pamper Brendan"! I have a Princess gene which sometimes requires attention. Drivers waiting at the airport for me and me alone still makes me happy. Peru is somewhere I'd love to go - I look forward to reading about your upcoming travels.

Princess Gene
That made me laugh and not feel that I am alone in enjoying those special moments, such as a driver. Thank you for the comment. I hope you enjoy the rest of the Peru blogs.

Dazed and confused
Travel Brendan is on the case! Pamper Brendan is offering up good advice! It's a win-win. Enjoy, my friend.

Thanks Dave
All the Brendans thank you. We are up, and ready for the Sacred Valley tour now.

Special Blog
Think you had quite a few of us looking back through younger eyes - thanks for sharing
16th February 2013

Thanks Cindy
This was going to be a tongue in cheek blog until I started writing it. I really enjoyed looking back. Would love to see a blog of your first big trip.

The countdown is on!
I see your count down is on. I am jealous!!!! Think of me working my fingers to the bone when you are off traveling! It will be here before you know it. Janelle
28th January 2013

Thanks Janelle. I am looking forward to having you "along" on this trip. Don't work too hard.

Ah~ This was such a joy to read. You really captured the exhilaration of leaving home and experiencing the differences and novelties of a new place (and your first big trip, wow). I also really related on the little scraps of memorabilia and reflecting back. It's funny how those little details -- even a small receipt -- can help one recall much more. Great blog~

Thank you Michelle
I am very glad you enjoyed this. I think it strikes a chord with each of us about our first trip. This blog was a fun trip down memory lane.

Ship's Kitchen

Hello Kari
That is Buque Museo Fragata Presidente Sarmiento. It is a ship museum by the Woman's Bridge in Puetro Madero in Buenos Aires. It was a fun little tour. If you are heading to BA, I hope you can check it out.

In Awe of the World
An observation from your blog was the sense of awe and wonderment you had in everything you saw - despite how small or seemingly insignificant it was. That is something we lose (both travellers and non-travellers) as we get older. It is wise to remind oneself of the awe and wonderment that this world holds on a regular basis, as it adds a enriching perspective to life.

You Are So Right
Shane, you are so right about that. It is good to remind oneself that everything and anything can be different and interesting. Seeing this trip through my teen age eyes was truly an eye opener. As I get ready to hit the road again, I should read your comment to remind me.

Good one!
Wondering, how you must have felt while looking at your old pictures. It was so good to read this. I shall also go back & check my old albums tonight ;)
26th December 2012

Ah, the old photos
Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have to say that going through my old pictures is similar to reading my early blogs on here. I kind of shake my head and laugh to myself. (in a good, nostalgic way) Have fun going through your old albums.
