Gamarjoba! Some of you know already that I am here to finalise my masters thesis on Capital Markets in Developing Countries. ALL of you know that combining work and pleasure is essential for me to enjoy what I do. It has been possible for me to have both during this trip. Together with my partner, Johan, I have interviewed several institutions and actors in Tbilisi, but equally important I´ve have gained a great insight in the culture, mentality and way of living in the country. As usual it is hard to describe all of the experiences and nuances with words and I find the lens of the camera doing a good job for me at times. Still there are some things that needs to be told as I remember them: First memories We first arrived to ... read more

What life looks like from above? Better, faster, bigger, newer, nicer, more chic, more fashionable are just a few examples of words we like to attach to our material needs. And think about what the next generation will value if we continue this way! Christmas and all the commersial hype around it. Wouldn´t it be nice to skip it and just spend time with the family? Just being satisfied! Think about it. SATISFACTION. Satisfaction unrelated to material things. This is why I called this entry for "A bird´s perspective". Up there, you see clearly what is important in life. You see how small and insignificant most things - that are valued highly on the ground - really are. The only things that matters are the bonds you have to the people you know, care for and ... read more

Food Excellent mezze and other Egyptian specialties. Seafood is recommended. Price Everything is 2 or 3 times more expensive than it should be (compared to Cairo). Weather Sun and blue skies never fails. Diving There is no question why Sharm El Sheikh exists and if you take a trip to here without diving you miss out. I did four dives in Sharm and 2 dives in Dahab (80 km north of Sharm) and they were all different from each other regarding fish, landscape and coral formations. Most memorable for me is the dive in Tiran where the current let you slide past the corals without moving a fin. Maintain your buoyancy and the dive is just like a beautiful slide show! Dahab is famous for the Canyon and the Blue hole and they were both amazing ... read more

Let the world know! Oh Sydney, oh Sydney my love! How I miss your people that became apart of me (Mel, Djamel, Chris, Olivia, Trish, Agnes, Emad, Edgar, Ben... the list is long). I miss your sunshining smile - although you have a big hole in the atmosphere of your Ozon mouth. I miss your beautiful beaches - which were the playground where we spent most of our time. I miss your spectacular coastline - alongside which I used to run. I long for your great culinary expertise (thanks to the influence of your exotic neighbours and citizens). I miss your nightlife (King´s Cross, Oxford St. and Goodbar in specific). I miss the heat you radiate all year (Winter in Sydney equals normal Swedish Summer!) and heck I even miss sitting in your slow public transportation ... read more

What can you do after an extraordinary trip in Queensland with a great finish filled with great parties in Cairns? Well why not fly to Bangkok and take the train and ferry to Ko Pangan where one of the best beach parties (at least used to be) takes place every full moon! So said and so done and the whole trip in Thailand lasted for 3 weeks with awesome rendez-vous of nice faces from back in Sydney (especially the George-sisters :P). To describe my feelings for Thailand where I have spent more than 6 months at 4 different occasions is hard so I let the pictures speak instead. NJOY!... read more

While viewing my folders, I remind myself once again of what a uniquely fortunate guy I am. The folders are filled with pictures of places that most people can only dream of visiting in a lifetime. Of course there has been times of trials and problems in my life - the same must have been for any of you. But - with a dash of gratitude and humbleness - you realize quickly how beautiful and easy life really is. At least for those of us that are fortunate! Most of it is of course thanks to our parents who not only made us (while having a good time) but also offered us the opportunities of the world. Thank you! I love you wherever you are or will be. Attached to this entry is not pictures, it ... read more

The return to the beginning As you all know, when travelling the world it is easy to forget your own homeground and why you live there in the first place. I am not implying Stockholm to be the most beautiful place as such a place only exist in our own preferences. However, I think it would be nice for all my international friends, that I have met and shared great experiences with, to see some of Stockholm. I have made a new gallery for Sweden where I´ll update you with photos of here. I have also added some pictures to the other galleries as I have more time to do such stuff now. For me the secret to happiness has become to live, eat, meet, speak, think, love, and explore as if I am constantly travelling. ... read more

The first BAD news is that I have been so busy travelling, diving, snorkelling, sailing, camping, dancing, partying and other boring stuff that I have not yet had the chance to sit more than 5 minutes by a computer and update with pictures. The other BAD news is that I won't have the time to do so in Thailand either because I have to snorkel, eat good food, have regular daily massages, travel around, drink buckets and Singhas, sing karaoke, go to full moon party and chill on the beach. So i hope you all forgive my humble soul that needs to be infused with such commodities to live and enjoy life while I breath. A GOOD news might be that I will see most of you all in 3 weeks back in Sweden and trust ... read more

OOOHH MY BUDDHA!!! FINALLY I just finished my last exam (5 minutes ago) and the tensions are starting to realease from my body (- won´t even spell right anymore). Tonight we (me and my sister Romissa) are going to celebrate with some drinks and a nice dinner. I havn't been able to add stuff and pictures as I wanted to but I have been feeling great (except for all the stressed studies) and have done alot of fun stuff - like visiting wineyards. Tonight is my LAAAST night in Sydney for a while and we are leaving for Brisbane tomorrow. We will be a group of 9 people renting to cars (stationwagons) and travelling from Brisbane to Cairns during 18 days. First stop will be Hervey Beach where we will stay and then go to Fraser ... read more

About 200 km south of Sydney by the coast there is Jervis Bay, that is famous for its beaches, dolphins and national park area. My first encounter with a wallabieeeee :) It was on the way to the beach when the kangaroo baby was spotted among the trees. Very very cute as he/she was looking at us for a while before hopping away to other adventures with more interesting things to see than 'civilized' human beings. ... read more
