I sure do miss you guys:( Not as much fun with out you here. Oh yeah, some bar hoe punched me in the face the night before last. I was getting body painted at the time and she just sucker punched me!!! I was so stunned (hey, what else is new though haha) but really, we have no idea why or what happened. two possible senarios: one dive guy had a previous relationship w/ her, or the body painter was her thai boyfriend. What a shocker though!!!!!!!! And how I brag about how great the thai girls are to farang girls. :( Anyhoo, my cousins coming soon...heh heh, cant wait to show her this crazy city. Although I do believe that Rob and I will be moving to Phi Phi soon...cant wait!!! Island life FOR SURE there hee hee...love ya, say hi to eveyrone for me!!

Bin der dun dat Ha Ha I've already had Tiger Beer! I bet you want to know how but I will never share my secret...you can buy it in Ontario. Avril, the sun is finally shining in Regina and I'm trying to match up to your tan, I hope there is time before you get home.
Miss you A-dawg and see you soon, right? Give the monkeys a bum pat for me.
So Jealous!! Hey Avril, I am so glad that you got to check this out. I heard about it while I was in Thailand and was so tempted to leave the beach to check it out. The beach won out though. I am back in Regina for a few weeks..yeah?? and then off to Europe for a few months. We will have to get together in Regina and overload Lish with all our photos! Too bad we can't introduce her to Tiger Beer!
Sa bai dee! Hello Avril! You likely won't remember me...I was at Bushwakker for your going-away party put on by your work-gang before you left Regina; I was with Mike A.
He shared your blog address with me and I have so enjoyed following your trip stories. I have been planning a trip to Asia for November '06 which started out as just Thailand but now am sold on going to Vietnam and Laos, and maybe Cambodia and Malaysia. Your story about the special family in Laos that put on the big party for you and your friends made my heart smile. Thankyou for your animated and entertaining journalling. This blog thing is a super way of sharing ones travels with other wanna-be travellers. Keep up the great stories!!!! I hope I can connect with you sometime on your return home to get some tips on where you stayed, ins/outs, etc. I'll e-mail you again in the future. Thankyou Avril!

4 Weeks Yep, these are some pretty sweet pictures... although I won't be visiting you in Laos, I can look forward to a lot of the same in Thailand! (I hope?) And I can't believe it's slightly less than 4 weeks from when I fly out to meet up with you! Crazy... wow, times flies!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Teno! Huzah! :)
Beer Lao Have fun tubing in Vang Vieng and drinking beer lao. Watch out for those lao lao whiskey shots!! Here are some Lao phrases to get by:
sah bye dee = hello
lah kon = good bye
soke dee = good luck
hong num = bathroom
tall dae? = how much?
pang lie! = too expensive!
Lah kon and Soke dee!
omg! a.c. overload! i know exactly what you mean about the ice cubes on wheels!! every bus ride we took in thailand had the a.c. on full for the entire trip! we had one trip that was 17 hours long and they didn't have enough blankets for all the passsngers so we had to pull the curtains off the window to keep the cold air off us!!! omg! Worst bus ride Ever!! Cheers to the little old lady and her flower blanket, "yeah" for nice people!!!
