scotland So glad that you were enjoying Scotland and not in the south west of England during the heavy rain and floods there. Loved your descriptions of the lochs and braes. Have a great time in London and Paris .Thanks for the postcard. Harry Looking forward to seeing you all when you get home.
Hello Eliza Wow Eliza! It sounds like you are having lots of fun. We are glad you got to go to Alice's shop. You looked just like her when you dressed up for the Book Week Parade. Leilani is a bit jealous that you got to go to Oxford where Harry Potter was filmed. She wants to know if you got to try on the sorting hat. We are ALL jealous that you got to go to Legoland. We had the 'Brickman' visit our school (Australia's only professional lego builder) but we wish we could go to Legoland too. We miss you and can't wait to see you in a few weeks. Unfortunately Cheyanne left to move to Queensland and we miss her too but know we will feel better when we see your smiling face again.
From your friends in 2KW.
WOW! You been to where they filmed harry potter that woud have been awesome.
Stone hedge must've been pretty big mystrery. Albert einstines chalk board jack.mc would love to hear that. Well then cheerio TRANLATION: bye
Great Trip Hi Jack,
It sounds like you have having a great trip and seeing many of the things that you learn about in history. I had no idea that there have been multiple Stonehenges. I guess the one of wood would not have lasted very long compared to the stones.
No Loch Ness monster sightings?
Enjoy the rest of your trip! I bet it has gone quickly.
Love,
Kerensa
Awesome! Hi Jack,
This is great stuff, love reading all of the things you are doing on your trip. I just got home from school camp on Friday. I will email you after school tomorrow and tell you all about it. I will keep checking your blogs and say hi to the rest of your family.

to the travelling wethercoops its great to hear news of your travels - hope you are all warm enough. I think that I would be glad to get off Concerto after 8 days! However Warwick castle sounded interesting. Legoland at Windsor sounds good, but fancy Sydney not being in their cities of the world! I wonder if any of you children will study at Oxford university one day? quite a lot of Australians do. Where to next? The Star Wars exhibition was the last stop mentioned by Harry. Has Linda done her 4 days yet? I suppose you will look at London then. Happy traveling, looking forward to seeing you and seeing all your photographs early in December. Love to all - the grandparents
Sounds awesome Harry. How big was the lego stadium (if you know!)?Did your minifigure make friends with the Lego soccer players at Legoland? Are you going to have dinner with the Queen soon? Can't wait to hear about more of your adventures soon!!! Z &T :)
Legoland I'm glad to hear you finally got to visit Legoland! There was a pop-up Lego forest at Coogee Beach shortly after you left on your trip and I thought of you. It sounds like there are lots of interesting exhibits at Legoland, but like you, I am disappointed that Sydney Harbour is missing.
I'm a little jealous that you got to visit William Shakespere's house. He is such an important part of our literary history.
Eat some Yorkshire pudding for me and take lots of pictures.
Love,
Kerensa
Hey Harry Wow! It sounds like you are having an awesome time. We read Jack's recount of Warwick Castle and it sounded very scary but exciting. We are so glad you are having a great time. We all really miss you. Jessi asked "Did you take any LEGO with you?" While the weather is cold over there it has been quite hot over here. We have had 2 days in the 30s this week. We are thoroughly enjoying reading your blogs. We make sure we read Jack's and Eliza's as well.
Say hello to all the family.
Speak to you soon,
SEE YA (for now) HARRY!!!!!!!!!
:)
Thanks 3/4 G Thanks for writing back to me. I am missing you a bit too.
I do have one lego mini-figure with me I have called Buzz. We have been taking photos of Buzz wherever we go.
Harry.
We researched Warwick Castle and were amazed to discover how old it is. Thanks for teaching us about the history of Nusery Rhymes. Hope you keep on enjoying your trip.
From 2KW, Miss Kauter and Miss Wong
Dungeon Tour The dungeon tour sounds scary! England must be such a contrast to Hong Kong, especially when going from Disney Land to a dungeon. It sounds like you are learning a lot. Did they teach you the meaning of "Little Miss Muffet"? That was always my favourite nursery rhyme.
I'll have to try hot chips and yoghurt - that sounds like just the thing I'd like! Keep on posting - it is fun to hear about your trip.
Love,
Kerensa
Warwick Castle Was the canal boat lots of fun Eliza? Hot chips and yogurt... together? That sounds a bit funny! Did any princesses live in Warwick Castle?
missing messages I sent two messages to "private messages" so I don't know if you got them. Uncle Peter put me on to the guest book so now i know what to do! We enjoyed your messages from Hong Kong children- its it a long time since grandad and I were there - about 23 years - I suppose that we wouldn't recognise it now! However we do remember the smells, and the Peak with its views. Kowloon didn't have any shopping malls then as far as I remember but we did see a Chinese funeral procession which was quite different from the Oz rituals, and white is the colour of mourning, not black like it is here. I don't like the sound of the dark roller coaster!
Hope you are surviving 3 days on a canal boat, we saw the Manchester canal in the north but did not travel on it. If you have clear weather you will get quite a different view of the countryside than you get from the road, and I suppose that the riverside pubs will be a feature. Enjoy yourselves and travel safely - love from the grandparents
Canal boat is it going to be 3 "long days" as Jack described it? Hope you get sunny weather to enjoy the ambience. We saw the great canal near Manchester but didn't travel on it. i remember the Star Ferry terminal in Hong Kong but I don't suppose that I would recognise it now. We had some shoes and trousers made in the shopping complex attached. I don't think there were any shopping malls at Kowloon, but we did see a Chinese funeral procession, and yes, there were many smells! How did you manage the heat/humidity? Happy travelling to all
Hello Eliza Thank you Eliza for writing the message for us. It sounds like you had a lovely time at Disneyland. We wish we could of gone too. We hope you have a great time on your holidays. We miss you. See you soon.
From Miss Kauter, Miss Wong and all of your friends in 2KW :)
WOW, that is a fantastic photo! Hi Eliza,
WOW, that is a fantastic photo! jacob and I went to visit Hong Kong last July but unfortunately we did not make it up to the Peak to see the amazing view cause we got caught in a typhoon and had to spend most of our time in our hotel. Hopefully next time we visit Hong Kong the weather will be kinder and I can visit the Peak.
Sounds like you had a great day at Disneyland. I loved reading your blog and look forward to the next one!
Liz
Grizzly Gulch Hi Harry,
It's lovely to hear your stories from Hong Kong and it sounds like you enjoyed Disneyland! I don't think Grizzly Gulch was open when I took jacob there last July. You'll have to tell me more about it next time you're in at work with Mum.
Enjoy your time in England and I look forward to reading more about your adventures soon.
Liz
Space Mountain Hi Jack,
It sounds like you really enjoyed Hong Kong, even if it does smell of dried fish! Jacob and I went to Disneyland, Hong Kong, last July and went on Space Mountain. We didn't realise it was an indoor 'dark' rollercoaster until we were already in the line. It's pretty scary and goes really fast! Sounds like you conquered Space Mountain... Well done! (even if Mum did throw up later on!) Hey, did Dad go on it or was he holding the bags?
Enjoy England and can't wait to hear more from you guys.
Liz
Hi Wetherall's Hi Harry,
We really enjoyed reading your blog entry and looking at your photos. It sounds like you are all having an amazing time. We had a laugh at the fact the streets smelt funny in Hong Kong. It is definitely very different to what we are used to here on the Central Coast. Jessi said "You may need to buy a peg to put on your nose". Everyone including me are very jealous you got to go to Disneyland. The rides sound so cool!
Back at school we have been working hard on descriptions, researching different religions and conducting some science experiments such as making slime.
Hope you continue to have a safe and happy holiday. Please write soon to give us an update of your awesome adventures.
Bye for now,
3/4G
Sounds like you had a fun time in Hong Kong. It is one of my favourite cities in the world. There are lots of spectacular buildings and I like how the Asian and western cultures are combined. Cheap breakfast sounds pretty good too! You definitely make me want to go and find a roller coaster to ride!
Have fun on the canal boat. Better save your energy in case you need to attack a castle in 3 days! Don't forget to sharpen your sword!
Smelly Fish Did you eat any of the smelly fish Harry? Maybe it tastes great!
The Grizzly Gultch sounds pretty good. Maybe there should be a smelly fish ride!
Did you learn any Chinese yet?
On 15 October 2012 Andy, Linda, Jack Harry and Eliza will be leaving the beautiful Kingfisher Shores to embark on a 7 week tour of Hong Kong, UK and Paris. ... full info
