I am a 35 year old teacher about to set off on a life changing adventure. A teaching exchange! For 2 years I have been trying to get an exchange set up for Canada and have had two previous attempts fall through. Now I am off to Calgary, Alberta to live and learn about a new culture, see the beautiful sights that linger near by and hopefully become a stronger, wiser and more complete person than I am today. Will I survive the freezing temperatures? Will I find love? Will I be liked and respected for my teaching abilities and will they be able to understand and accept my sometimes whacky behaviours and Aussie slang? This quest will begin from Monday the 22nd of December, 2014 where I leave my family and friends to live away from South Australia for the first time.
