A Lovely Story of Hope and Perseverence Having just been in a motorcycle accident , in Hoi An, of which I have no memory or recollection of, I can relate very much to this story. Of course, I hope my injuries won't be permanent, but I found this blog whilst searching for 3-wheeled motorbikes for sale in Hoi An. I am currently unable to ride my own bike, get out and about, or walk, sleep, bathe or do anything properly, or as effectively as I could before the accident/incident but I have lived most of my life relatively healthily, unlike the sorry state of poor Hanh, and at such a young age. She is a very strong and brave young lady and I wish her all the luck and enjoyment in her future life. Having ridden motorbikes all of my life I could really relate to Hanh's excitement of having her own motorbike and viewing it as her best friend! Credit to all involved in bringing happiness and hope into Hanh's life. 16/05/15
Ultra Lightweight Wheelchairs Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

Great photo! And good luck to James! In Chinese, they say "Jia You!" = add some oil (gas)! Keep the sand out of your shoes! I'll be following the race every night. Good luck!
Hi! I have been in Hoi an only a couple of days and seem to be coming across your blog all the time. My mum emailed me from England to say there were floods in Hoi An. Myself anf my boyfriend were hoping to go there in a week but I am not sure if this would still be possible? Wouldit be ok if i followed your blog? You seem to have the latest happenings! I hope things are well for you and the people you work with.
Best regards, Emma
something to think about: unpluging your computer Hi Karen,
I've spent some time living/working in Hanoi. In 2009 I was there during a huge rainstorm. I managed to get home safely (with water up to my knees) and the following day as I was sitting in my living room, from the plug in the wall (where my computer was plugged in), suddenly there was a big puff of smoke. The surger fried because the walls were saturated. I'm praying for all of you in VietNam:)
typhoon hi. yipes. beautiful hoi an. so sorry to hear this! i, we, had the same eerie feeling last year around this time while in nyc waiting for sandy to hit. and boy did it hit! manhattan was shut down for weeks. i moved out to bed-stuy with the pit bull during that time, as we had no heat, hotwater, electric, phone, here in manhattan. it was crisis time. i hope you fare through this okay, jen. love, gene f.
Our prayers are with you at this difficult time. Dear Karen and Lifestart members,

Karen the Brave Karen, you are a wonder. How can you be so calm and organised facing this terrible situation. We have been thinking about you and Hoi An for the last day or so. We would ike to send a donation. When you have time tell us how to.
Prayers for You My wife and I spent a day or two in Hoi An in both 2010 and 2012. Indeed a special place and I will never forget the friendly local citizens of that beautiful town. We expecially remember the folks in your workshop. God Bless you and we will help the agencies who will be helping you there.
Stay safe Please stay safe and your lovely family also. I pray all people and then property come through unscathed. My son is living in HA so have just had a conversation and now realize it will be awhile until power is restored after the storm.
