Hooded Warbler This photo of the so said "Bachman's Warbler" is actually not what you say it is. This is actually a Hooded Warbler. People confuse them because they look very similar but in fact it is not a Bachman's. You can tell the difference because the Bachman's doesn't have a black hood-like shape around it's head, as this one does, like a Hooded.
The Empty Nest B and B Welcome home world traveller Kathryn. Since you've been gone I've been to Germany twice, am headed to Newfoundland in a few weeks, and am hoping to open within the next few days "The Empty Nest Bed and Breakfast". Website should be live in a week or so. Looking forward to seeing and painting with you soon. Cheers, Susan
New views Hi Kathryn,
These are sights we didn't see when in Cuba several years ago. Sounds like quite an adventure. Loved the photos and history included. Hugs, Jude
Now you're in another world! Just found your blog when I was cleaning an old email account. Looks like you're having a fabulous time. Enjoy the air under your wings. ; )
Sailing away I'm certain you'll gain a few followers of this wonderful adventure. I certainly hope you will give us more detail on what, why and how you're involved in the wonderful trip.
Sailing away Hi D and Merry Jo, hope you've been following the blog sine May when you first logged on. We began the journey for a love of sailing -- James did; and I wanted to try. At the root for me is wanderlust and a philosophy that life is to be experienced. The trip across the Caribbean fulfilled a dream for us both and after 1225 nautical miles I'm no longer a newbie.
One season sailing the Caribbean Sea; a second season on Magic Badger while exploring Cuba. Now we are planning a third season abroad, but in the meantime I am catching up and posting blogs from our December to May (2014-2015) travel adventures in Cuba. ... full info

Not Bachman's Warbler
Those are likely extinct, that's a photo of a Hooded Warbler.
