So, now that I've spent some time getting over/ignoring my various fears about leaving the old comfortable US, I am spending most of my time running around like a crazy person, trying to get everything set before I leave. My contract showed up in the mail, so now that I have that, I just need the good old state department's office to give me back my FBI background check with their special stamp, and then I send those and a bunch of other docs down to Chicago to get my C4 visa. Once I've got that visa, all I need to do is pack and see peeps.
