Thinking of you today Happy birthday, Marc! Hope you are both starting to get your feet back on the ground. How are things going? I'm working on getting our trip to your side of the pond planned for next September. Cheers, Anne
We Will Miss You Guys By now you are on the plane on your way to your new life. How exciting this must be. I know you are experiencing trepidations Arlene but I'm sure that once there you will love it and enjoy all the perks it brings. Safe journey and stay in touch.
Japan living-KONICHIWAA! Hi! Just saw your blog and found it interesting. My son teaches English in Handa, Japan and has lived there for 3 months. Just as some advise, take very little... Housing there is very different than American housing, there is not much room. I would leave my tax info with my parents or a trusted friend. Decide what you absolutely need and then go through it and divide that by HALF again. You will thank me when you realize that there is no place to put your stuff. Your blog doesn't say how long you will be staying, but you can always leave stuff here and send for it if you absolutely need it. Good luck (OHIO) TLCRNICU
I'm enjoying your blog Thanks for taking the time to keep up your blog. Arlene, I can relate to your packing woes. It's so hard to anticipate what you will and will not need. Remember it's only stuff, although it is your precious stuff. Wish I could help you with that crystal ball!
co-worker will miss you- but hope to plan a visits Hi Arlene- I love this travel blog-sort of like your own website !!! Best wishes on a safe trip over and great adventures along the way. I will try to remember to check in from time to time !!

Arlene I really enjoyed your blog. I am excited for you guys I know there is a lot you have to do, sounds like you have a good plan. We lived in a one room/hotel. (we did have our own bathroom) when Kevin was stationed in Osan Korea. The countryside is beautiful. I never got to Japan, but always wanted to see it. Maybe I will be able to visit. Already making my reservations with you. Ha Ha I wish you both lots of good luck with your move. I will be checking in on your blog!!
My husband Marc and I were living in Winter Springs, FL in August, 2006. My husband decided to accept a new position with his company which meant relocating to Tokyo, Japan in November, 2006. We lived in Tokyo until November, 2008. After a couple of months in th US getting our paperwork in order, Marc's company moved us to Brussels, Belgium in April, 2009. This blog is intended to keep our family and friends up to date on the logistics of our moves and our adventures living in Japan and Belgium.... full info
