Hello There! Hi Arlene,
How are you!! I am quite embarrassed to admit, but I just figured out that I can add comments to the travelblog! The email that I receive with the link indicates "do not respond". Oh my.....anyway.
I so enjoy reading the blogs. You and Marc are living an adventure! What will you be doing for Thanksgiving? Will the expats be having a get together? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. What is the weather like? What experiences can Marc share regarding his new role? Can't wait to see all the pictures. God Bless you both. With Love, Kerry
Arlene, Thankyou so much for taking us along on your facinating journey. I look forward to reading your blog, which is so well written. Have a happy Thanksgiving, and please keep writing.
Wonderful! Arlene,
I just wanted to let you know how very much I am enjoying your blog. You are a very talented (and humorous!) writer. I feel like you are sitting at my kitchen table having coffee and telling me the story in person! I wish you were, because I have so many questions. Wishing you and Mark a very Happy Thanksgiving--Jacki
You sound busy It's good to hear that you are both beginning to find your way around and getting acclimated to your surroundings. Are you thinking about looking for a job? Sounds like you have bunches to do just getting settled in. Thanks for staying in touch. We all miss you.
Thank You Arlene:
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences in Toyko. It is fascinating to learn about how other people live and seeing the apartments through your eyes has been fun. I hope you'll have your own place soon. It must be hard to live without your things! Hope you find that cardreader ASAP so we can have some photos.
Best Wishes, Margo
Oh, Arlene, you can't imagine our excitement in all the details you are giving us. Stan and I agree that you are heros for doing what we would never have the courage to do. Go to it, Gal.
Pictures, pictures, pictures!!!! Arlene, I always love every word of your blogs! Apartment hunting is Tokoyo is nothing like I thought it would be!! Oh how I wish we could of seen pictures of your top two choices :-)
xoxo

Tokyo living The prices are shocking. My mom has visited Japan a few times. She liked the toilets so much she had one installed at her home. It gets a lot of comments when unsuspecting friends use her bathroom. LOL! Don't every lose those pink shirts, girlfriend. Cheers, Anne

HI ARLENE AND MARC! I am finally catching up on your blog and enjoying living in Tokyo vicariously through you, Arlene!
Sounds like your adjustment is coming along! Can't wait to read more and see some photos!
Take care, you guys! Big hugs from Alan and me!
Arlene~ love the detail and it is like we are with you both. I sure hope you find a cheaper place for toothpaste. Once you get your apt,. I wonder if it will be cheaper to order items like that on line and shipped to you both. What is the time difference from Toyoka to the east coast?
So interesting!! Arlene, I loved every word! I find every detail so very interesting, from the toilets to the market prices! I thank you both so much for taking us along on your journey!
Welcome to Japan I am glad to hear everything went pretty smoothly considering. I cannot wait to hear what it is like living in Japan. Take Care and Enjoy!!
My husband Marc and I were living in Winter Springs, FL in August, 2006. My husband decided to accept a new position with his company which meant relocating to Tokyo, Japan in November, 2006. We lived in Tokyo until November, 2008. After a couple of months in th US getting our paperwork in order, Marc's company moved us to Brussels, Belgium in April, 2009. This blog is intended to keep our family and friends up to date on the logistics of our moves and our adventures living in Japan and Belgium.... full info
