La France Of all the places I've been, I think France has the most sights/best tourism per sq km. For a country the size of Texas, it has Paris, beaches, mountains, food, cathedrals, countryside, Rivieria, etc etc etc. Fantastique
The pictures are amazing and the new adventures in Africa are so exciting! When in S Africa you should ty to go to some wineries and try to fit in a safari... GAWD I'm soo jealous! Can't wait to be able to get Brian and Cate on a plane!
Great photos The photos are fabulous. I haven't had a chance to read your blogs in a few weeks and was excited to make a virtual stop in Morocco. You both have certainly made the most of your year of travel.
Thanks for the tour info Thanks
Enjoyed learning about the salt mine tour and will try it myself when I get to Bavaria again. Sounds like my kind of "cheese". Very informative.
home stretch! Hi guys, just finished catching up on the latest and greatest from your trip. It's hard to believe it's been almost 11 months...hang in there...you're in the home stretch now! Looking forward to having you back on this side of the Atlantic.
Hola! Just a quick hello. Glad that all appears to be going well in Eastern Europe (or wherever you have landed by now). The pics of the mountains made me jealous - they appear cool and refreshing at a time when I have about maxed out on heat and humidity. Take care.
Hey there! Hey guys! I have been following your trip for a while now. You've been to some places that I have done a little while ago and your great photos bring back good memories.. The Western Bulkans is a great area and I would love to go back some day to do more. I hope you get to Sarajevo, that is one of my favourite cities in Europe. Anyway hope you enjoy the rest of the trip. Lovin the blogs!
Athens Hello,there
I hope you have not seen the burnt forests around Athens because there were big fires the end of August around Athens and in the Peloponnese province too.

Mind and Heart Expanding Education Kelley and Mike, isn't it true? Your travels had broadened your minds and your hearts. My prediction, and confirmed in this blog where you related how your perspectives have been majorly changed, is that you are now travelers for life! Welcome! And how exciting it has been for us to follow the changes and see it through your eyes and senses, so honestly. Thank you both for writing! Love and kisses, Diane
I know what you mean! I was in Santorini exactly a year ago this month. I still haven't gotten over it. It is one of my favorite places on this earth. I have been to many islands, but Santorini is so unique. Although I stayed in Fira, I agree that Oia is where you feel like you truly in the lost city of Atlantis. I never got bored. We hit the wine trails, went to the black and red sand beaches, and spent time shopping in both towns. We were in Santorini for 3 days, and for me that was not long enough. I can't wait to go back.
You guys continue to do such a great job of trip planning and blog writing. Above all, you continue to enjoy daily this wonderful opportunity that you've been given. Thank you again for taking us along with you. So far I've yet to feel any travel fatigue.
Laudromat? Whats that? "Krakow has a drought of easily accessible laundromats"
In Poland there is no such thingy like "laundromats". Nowhere! Semi-cultural issue. You should check this before arrival here. If you thin that they will be usable - maybe this is business opportunity fo you? :)
death camps Thanks for your blog. I myself couldn't even go to visit, it would be too devastating for me, so I especially appreciate your photos and descriptions. It is especially a time to contemplate, given it being Rosh Hashana, and the beginning of the High Holidays, and a time when Jews all over the world give over their time for contemplation.
What does Mike bring to the table? A very fetching photo of Mrs. Turner with the rose petals. Kel, did you get one of Mike doing the same so that you can have a matched pair - don't let him trick you into bearing the full burden for sex appeal on the blog as you should get a day off once in a while.
For all of you who don't know us, we are a relatively normal married couple from Richmond, VA. We have been married for 5 years and have been friends since we met at Capital One on our first day of work. We have decided to make a "nontraditional move" with our lives. On November 7th, 2006 Kel and I left everything behind and started traveling beginning with Lisbon, Portugal. The plan was to start in Europe, hit Asia, Australia and New Zealand and then return to Europe to finish our year. Before it was all said and done we added destinations in the Middle East and Africa. The trip was am... full info
