Thank You for Your Always Educational and Enjoyable Blogs! (Alyssa and Andrew: The following corrects an error in what I think I previously submitted. So please accept this instead.)
Hi Alyssa and Andrew,
I hadn’t read your blog entries about your Africa trip until today (due to a combination of things including lack of Internet access). But today I read them. I very greatly enjoy, as always, your written descriptions of places and experiences – and your many wonderful photos too!
Over the past couple of years, I have been developing a great interest in Africa, although I don’t know much. So for me, it’s so good to hear, see, and learn about Africa through your travel experiences!
P.S.: Re your most recent blog entry: Your climbing to the very top of Mt. Kilimanjaro was a great accomplishment! Congratulations!

What an adventure Hi Alyssa and Andrew,
I really enjoyed reading about your experiences in Uganda and Rwanda. And if there was a "like" button below each picture, I would have "liked" them all.. The rafting on the Nile looks very dangerous.. I really enjoyed the pictures and will read more about the history of that part of the world... Be careful and have fun climbing the mountain.. Dad
Kenya So excited to read your blog! Glad you are doing well and having fun ! Awesome animal shots.....how amazing to be so close to them! Love you both!!!
Armchair traveler So glad to be able to come along. Love seeing Istanbul pictures again. Cannot wait to see the animals on your safari. Don't leave a window down, lions like humans or so I've heard.
Welcome Home! Wow, what a wonderful trip. You probable already started planning your next. Good luck on finding a job and apartment and catching up on life in the states.
LOL,
Rose
Very cool, makes us wanna travel more Alyssa and Andrew, more fun pics and stories. Bob and I are heading on vacation somewhere in October and were thinking of a cruise including stops in Turkey, Italy and Greece. Now we're thinking more that it is the direction we wanna go. Oh yah. Thanks for sharing. Be safe, enjoy. Of course while all us poor folk are going to work. Cheers. Becky and Bob Connolly
Turkey Is this the home of the turkey sandwich? Do they eat a lot of turkey in Turkey? Is the turkey a popular bird in Turkey? Was the turkey named after Turkey? Was Turkey named after turkey? I'm getting hungry for lunch..
Thanks for more interesting stories
I really enjoy your writings and observations. It would be nice if you can summarize as best as possible, your favorites in many categories, like friendliest people, cleanist country, best food, and favorite memories when you are all done, if you can or want to. And I like the part about people swimming in the public fountains. Can't wait to see you guys. Take care..
"Student" I did the same thing at the Terra Cotta Warriors - flashed my Hong Kong Library card, smiled, and said "Student!" I agree about the pollution in China - I was there in the summer as well and the pollution in Beijing and Xi'an was the worst I've ever seen in my life.
I am really enjoying reading this blog! Safe travels!!
Good One Mate.. Just thought I'd check out your experience of my homeland and yes you nailed it.. It is expensive, beautiful but at a cost. After travelling through SE Asia myself I realised when I got home how clean our country was. The southern cross tatoo worn by blokes & chicks is not just a redneck thing but embraced by thousands of Aussies. Look into the Eureka Stockade story & flag. Its a patriotic symbol. Great blog again guys!
