We started off our true Kenyan experience by meeting up with a few 'friends of friends' who were from Nairobi. They kindly took us out to discover true Nairobi, away from the tourist hype. This was immeasurable help when we were trying to haggle at the markets often ending in two quoted prices - mzungu price and nairobi price. Obviously we picked the nairobi price and walked away chirpy with our authentic wooden ornamental bargains. We then took a trip to Nairobi's famous Carnivore Restaurant. For those that have ever eaten there - as most tourists have - this is a culinary experience to be challenged with.
