Yeah, this guy was incredible. He had this calm stillness about him, so much patients. Check out his foot, I think he has calluses on the sides from sitting like that so long.
They call Bali ' the land of a thousand temples' because each family has their own, then, each neighborhood has IT'S own, the each village has it's own, and finally the island has their own big ones. It depends on the formality of event wh ich temple you go to. As nearly as I can figure, the family temples are used daily, I've got no idea about the neighborhood temples, the village temples are used for village ceremonies about weekly (like Christians would do on Sundays only the Balinese calendar doesn't use lunar or solar timetable, so 'weekly' doesn't apply). The big island temples, like Pura Besakih, are used for big pilgrimages and life-time events like that. Are you even more confused now? =)
Hey thanks lady! I still don't pass for a local, but I'm working on it. Hey I just noticed you posted this 8 min ago, we are both on our computers at the same time on opposite side of the planet. Cool.
A day at the spa!!! OK ... Damon is definitely taking me there!!! I honestly cannot imagine such an incredible day. And to be SO relaxed. Aaaaah!!! Enjoy it, Missy! :)
