Lausanne, to Mouchard... We are in Luasanne, Switzerland. Switzerland! I never imagined I'd end up here, but the mountains are really beautiful. Still, Becky and I are both aware now that we are not supposed to be here. There is no energy, or flow. We feel as if we have temporarily lost a tangible connection with our sojourn vision. We sense and check out a few hotels, but nothing is coming together. We know the signs - everything is too hard and no answers are coming. In my angst and exhaustion, I had relinquished much responsibility. Becky, I think, was more focused on serving, or perhaps, placating, me. We didn't sense the signs telling us we were moving out of flow. Neither of us were fully present and somehow we missed important cues. Now, we were ... read more

Dijon to Dole... We stayed at the B & B Hotel in Dijon, France last night. It was also a bed and breakfast and I liked it very much, feeling I desperately needed another good place to stay. Once more I had plenty of hot water and a kitchen to heat up food. I was greatly pleased about the prospects of more long, hot showers. Becky, who always keeps an eye out for something for me to eat, found a restaurant nearby that served the most delicious beef stew. I can't tell you how wonderful this was for me as it is often some time between good meals due to my diet restrictions. Lastly, our desk clerk spoke English which was a big help. He was the nicest guy and helped us with our questions, directions, ... read more

Paris to Troyes... As we passed through Paris last night I felt disappointed about missing out on seeing some of the world's most loved sites, of which I had heard so much. And, since we took the train right around the city as well as at night, I didn't see a thing. Yet, our guidance was clear. There was nothing there for us. "Don't we get to have any fun?" I whined. That night we stayed at The Grand Hotel in Troyes across the street from the rail station. They had only one room left which was their grand apartment suite. Because we were so tired we took it despite the expense. It was not a grand experience for me, but my basic needs were met and the apartment allowed Becky and I to have separate ... read more

The pressure has been building for me while we traveled down through England and into France. Dieppe was where I first realized that I could not manage the situations that were developing around me. I was clear about several things, holding the vision and serving Lettie. So, while a dark funnel cloud collected overhead, I tried my best to hold the space and serve Lettie. I just kept going, praying (doing a lot of praying) believing that everything would work out while watching Lettie (Shaman, Teacher & friend) changing in ways that really scared me, deep within. Gale force winds joined the dark cloud overhead and together made one hell of a storm approaching. The internal storm was also active at this time and between the two storms there was no escape. Not for me, ... read more

The next few blog entries reflect a time when Becky and I had very little, if any opportunity, to post our entries yet this is a crucial "crucible" time for us and we are representing, to the best of our abilities what occured, or just occured, though we have a little hindsight now. Remaining true to our experience is upper most in our minds. The following posts represents parts and pieces from my travel journals and Becky's comments on her experiences. Our hope is that by sharing them we will invite you, not only to share in ours, but to similarly enter into experiences of your own that involve self-reflection as well as exploration into perspective which are about perceiving the world beyond the linear concepts and constructs we have been inundated with throughout our lives. ... read more

Day 1 Using a map as reference Becky and I intuitively pick up the energy trail and draw ourselves to two different towns though they are within 10 miles of each other. We sense deeper this time both receiving "Saint Saens, France". Our next decision was transportation and we both sensed a bus which as it turned out was our only option. I am still very sick with my cold and we tow luggage about two thirds of a mile stopping to get food that we thought was sausage and chips (french fries), the only thing on the menu we thought I might be able to eat. When we received our order the sausages looked like long thin, red colored hotdogs and tasted a lot like them, which I ate without question, but Becky would ... read more

Saint Saen, France (by Becky) We arrived today in Saint Saens, France which is a small village about an hour southeast of Dieppe. We met Jackie on the bus who is interested in mysticism and even with our language barrier, thanks to our handy translator and the little bit of English she spoke, we were able to communicate quite nicely. She would have made a great student, like a sponge she was, soaking it all up. Teaching her would have been rewarding. We arrived at our B&B (Chambre d' Hotes) called Almazan House. This was our second choice since our original guidance led us to a B&B, which we were told that the owner was in southern France, so I stood looking longingly through a window into a lovely garden terrace . . . wishing. ... read more

(by Lettie) Hi, everyone. With some effort Becky and I intuitively discovered a Bed and Breakfast place (which here in France are called "chambre de hotes") and made our way to a hidden courtyard garden inside. I feel as if I have found, here at "Villa des Capucins", a slice of heaven and I am in need of it. The gardens, though overgrown from summer, are gorgeous and have a very natural look and appeal. The main house and additional quarters are quite interesting architecturally inside and out. I thoroughly enjoyed this place and our gracious hostess Madame Gbislaine Bore' I found her a bit reserved, impeccably mannered and attractively attired. She spoke no English and we gestured and pointed a lot to communicate with each other which seemed to work just fine. After the ... read more

(by Lettie) You would think, having been to all the places that I have at this point, that I would have experienced some excitement all along. But I have not, that is, until our Transmanche Ferry (which was a great relaxing ride by the way) pulled into port in Dieppe (pronounced dee-ehp), France. Suddenly, I turned to Becky and said with a little thrill in my voice "We're in France!" I experienced a kind of effervescence and aliveness here all of a sudden. Arriving at our hotel and stepping out of our taxi I saw a group of young people with sombreros on, daisychained in a line as they danced across the street in front of us. I immediately grabbed the camera trying to capture the fun. I would have joined in, if not for ... read more
