Happy Travels Hi Slowfeet, just wanted you to know I love your writing style and traveling along with you on your adventures. We are between travels at this time but enjoy living vicariously through you. March on.

fountains I just watched a doco on the Alhambra all about how they get the fountains to work, so I reckon we can sort that out up at the block. The 'Out of the Alhambra'photo is impressive too - we can talk to your neighbours and ask if they can start building so the view is similar from your place by the time you get back.
Keep an eye out for solar - I saw on the spanish news that Spain now has the highest amount of solar power generation in the world (which, as an Australian, is embarrassing).
Movie? They made a movie of the book? Not sure how it would turn out. You need to read the book. We will stick it in a package when both have finished it.
But you missed Le Tour! Well done being in Espagna for the World Cup but you were so close to the Pyrenees when Le Tour will be decided there tonight!! That said, having seen a bit of it a few years ago, its not the best of spectator sports...
Hello Portugal sounds like a good place to visit. Maybe next trip!
BTW-when I was reading up on Basques, I found out that Che Guevera was a Basque!!
Stay safe.
Wish I could .... make my motorcycle ride on water. i would love to ride those street and try some real pizza. Love that little Fiat 500. Really cool little car.
We're back and enjoy your blog Hi Pat and David
We are now officially back -- after having experienced our autos and computers imploding upon return.
So this is the first chance to leisurely look at your blogs of the Spain and France travels. Good memories!! You outdid yourself in cooking, David, with the experimental tapas in Spain and the local fritters in Sarlat. We did eat well, didn't we! Also, the truffle omelettes and the rich chocolate desserts by the girls!
More later!
Kind regards,
Ken
re Buildings It's hard to miss the Guggenheim. I suppose I could sort you out something like that for Kidaman Creek - but I should warn you; Gehry's buildings leak like a sieve.
What about a nice Parthenon? You know they age well...
Our travels over the years have often sought out those places that we haven't yet experienced. We have loved chasing new places, but there is a change underway. We continue to enjoy experiencing other cultures along with their food, beverages, history and ways of life but now, having a little more freedom, we will also make more effort to seek out out such things as music events and festivals, particular natural attractions that we have missed and places where we can better appreciate the history of a place and its people.
The attraction of the road less travelled and the place less visit... full info
