Well this comes to the end of our trip. We had a great time and glad to be home. Took a lot of pictures which will be my next project, and get some of the better ones posted and printed. Should we have stayed a bit longer yes we could have, but I wanted to spend some time, before heading back to work and enjoy what we have here, cause once it's back to work, and winter coming time will be in short supply. Tom has four provinces left to see I have five, and he is already saving for a R-Pod trailer so we can hit the road and bring our bed with us. Hope everyone enjoyed this blog, with its technical difficulties and will be sure to do a better job on the next ... read more

I made sure to take advantage of the free breakfast and had the most wonderful waffle, juice, coffee and Tom had his usual cereal. Then it was back on the road, I wanted to stay and take one of the whale watching tours but with a cooler full of lobster it was add ice and get going. Very nice drive through Quebec, the Appellation Mountains are very pretty, people were nice, and the toll bridge around Montreal a great idea. But the one thing I found out with every hotel stay they charge a 3 dollar tourist fee. At first I was "what assholes" then I thought no they have it figured out why raise peoples taxes when you add a fee to those who don't live here, why not most people think oh week its ... read more

We decided that we did not want to take the same route back and set our trail to go by Bathurst, Campbellton and then to Rimouski, Quebec where there is sub the Onondaga. Tom took a tour Fred and stayed outside and went for a little walk. Tom says it was really neat and they give you a little radio so you can hear at each station what you are looking at. He says next time he will decently bring me and his camera lol. Since it was still fairly early we decided to head and stay the night in Riviere Du Loup, and off we went. We found a Comfort Inn checked in then went to fuel up. While inside I noticed they sell beer, wine and coolers :) had forgotten about that, and bought ... read more

Once again back at Tom's sisters and the sun is shining bright, but the mosquitos are still ever present so being out side is not a option. We decided to take Tom's sister and go and see here son and a pick up a few groceries today. Prices has always been an interest to me (weird ya I know) and most stuff was comparable to us except the dairy products. oh my my, a bag of milk is almost eight bucks and cream, butter and beef were just as expensive. seafood of coarse was a bit cheaper.... read more

Sure enough up and ready to go and no one at the motel not even to had in the key. So a bun each and we were off to the rocks. The morning was cloudy and cool, but we were determined to go. We walked down and I kept thinking boy I hope there is a shuttle back up lol, Fred as always sniffing all the way and excited to see where we were going. Once at the bottom it was a beautiful as I thought it would be. Then I could hear a strange noise coming from out in the water, and I could see the rain coming our way. We walked along the edge of the rocks while poured rain for a bit, once it let up we continued. Had it been nicer I ... read more

There are 2 motels near the rocks and the one did not take dogs so we ended up @ the Chocolate River motel. The rooms were clean, but other then a bed toilet, sink and tub, they didn't offer much. I knew going in that it was no where 5 star, but was hoping at least for a mini fridge lol. We then went to eat Tom had spotted a place on our way to the motel, so we went to check it out. Pauline's place was the name of the restaurant and there were several cars in the lot, so it looked promising. But unless you were a regular, they didn't seem to care about our business. We were group 3 of the 6 groups there, and watching the waitress with the others that lived ... read more

Know we are back but updating blog any ways. Had a real problem with it crashing but i think it was my I-Pad, so giving it a go here. We left Charlottetown, and drove to the ferry at the tip of Wood island. When we got there we found out one of the 2 ferries was not working and it happened to be the bigger of the two. We had stopped to tour the lighthouse that was there. It was a really great experience, they are not as tall as I thought they would be. After touring and watching the ferry come in we decided to see if we would be able to get on the four o'clock ferry, which was four hour wait. Told chances were slim but could reserve the eight o'clock one, we ... read more

Well we made it to Charoletetown, yippee :) found a nice motel just outside of the city, quiet yet close to everything. Tom saw 3 tall ships in the harbour and snapped aflew photos. Tom did enjoy taking the confederation bridge, although was a little disappointed that it was only single lane, and me was good going over not at all like the skyway. But I was kept busy with camera and video camera lol. I also paid 9:95 for a plastic drinking cup that says island girl, and got a lot of attitude from the lady in the LCBO here about paying that for a dollar store glass ( but I say whatever it says PEI, so bite me lol). We are not sure what the plans are for tomorrow, drive around PEI or take ... read more

Ran out of room to type, so here I continue. Was looking this morning and thinking, hhmm maybe we should do a quick little ferry ride over to Newfoundland since we have come all this way it would be a shame to leave it out. Well at a cost of over 300.00 and 8 hour ferry ride, thinking maybe not in plans after all lol. So for myself, will have to leave Newfoundland along with NWT and Nuavic as provinces yet to see. Fred is having a great time the smell of fish, wind blowing in his ears. He has enjoyed the luxury of his on bed in a hotel in Quebec, to his own chair at Shela's. So for him this travel thing is great. Well time to get the masses up and moving, although ... read more
