A big hello from one canadian/brit travellers to another!!
Steve and Suzanne ! First time we've looked at your blog today and it's fab. Great to see the pics of places where we've been as well on our travels. Plus, memories of running into you in Rajhastan and then coincidentally in Sri Lanka. Really wish you all the best of luck Steve with your new job and life in Vancouver. Once you get used to the cold you'll love it ! Remember it is not a hat it's a 'tuque'. Gotta get the lingo right ! We are back in the UK from our year trip in Jan so will be around in Feb. We should meet up for a beer in a teapot for old times sake! Suzanne, it was such a shame we didn-t see you when we were in Toronto a couple of months ago. Bad timing on our part ! We'll have to stop by next time for sure. All the best to you both Bronia the Canadian and Dave the Brit ps. how did you get a suit for your Dubai trip in to your backpacks ?? Am assuming it is a wrinkle free suit or you have better packing skills than us ! looking very posh both of you, too posh for scummy travellers ! looking fwd to the next instalment of the blog.

News from Oz
Hi Steven Your entries make entertaining reading. By the time you receive this I am sure you will be past the no drinking stage and resuming "normal service". Just a quick note to let you know that Vicky and Gavin's wedding went really well. No last minute hitches and even the weather was kind on the day despite the forecast indicating showers. Thankfully the weather was great. Not too hot. Not sure if you heard that Queensland suffered a cyclone? This caused the newlyweds to stay an extra night on the Gold Coast instead of travelling north to the rain forest for the second part of their honeymoon. Luckily they were not in any of the areas affected. They arrive home late tomorrow so will catch up with all their news then. I believe they kept themselves busy at the Gold Coast so welcomed having a relaxing time at the rain forest. Relatives have all returned home now and are already planning to return in a couple of years time. They now know why we emigrated. It was great to have them here even for such a short time. Take care. Margaret

Hello there Steve!
Hiya Just browsing through some old emails and had the link to your website and wondering how you were doing on your travels. The sentiments on your website are very true - don't work too hard and forget to have a life! Great to read that you are having such a good time on your journey! Signed up for the 4th year out in FW in lieu of any better ideas, the weather is just too damn fine here. Cheers and all the best John, Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth is cold!
Greetings Mr Steve, ha ha, reminded me of 'it aint alf hot mum'. You will be known as Mr Steve forthwith. Been following your travels so far, looks great! India looks very interesting as are your journals. Keep them coming, Im looking for plenty of info for near future reference. This travelblog thingy looks a good idea, I think I will sign up to enthuse people with my travels to Benbrook lake and the Trinity trail. Spent last weekend in and around Amarillo. To its credit, we found a cool bar/restaurant, and Palo Duro canyon was stunning. Cant believe I have driven past it so many times. Shame it was so cold, but not as cold as this weekend, its been all icy with Texan driving skills showing themselves. Enjoy the glycerine in the beer! Cheers

Hi from Australia
Hi Steve Good to hear you enjoyed your trip back to Australia. Kathryn did discover the flip flops in the back of the car. I believe we still have the alarm clock from last time. Hope all is going well with your travel. By now you will have left Singapore and be in India so I will keep posted as to how that goes. Brian is still playing golf. His last 2 scores for 9 holes are getting better. He played at Burswood and he got 40 last week and 37 this week. Not too bad for an old hacker I suppose. Anyway take care! Margaret
