Still buzzing from the excitement of our skydive we (aka Thelma and Louise) set off on a roadtrip to find Rosie's great aunt and uncle near Napier. After a fairly hairy drive, dodging logging trucks, cones and tractors in a presumed stolen rental car, Tony and Nora charmed us with sandwiches, tea and cakes and regailed us with stories of Rosie's distant relatives. On our safe arrival back in Taupo, having only left one set of horrendous skidmarks on the road, we decided to reward ourselves with a day at Taupo hot springs and spa. This was lovely but Rosie was trying to starve herself to lose her belly before seeing her Mum and Duncan and was, therefore, completely miserable and in a foul mood.
