Homeward bound Lynn it's been really lovely reading about your trip. So many beautiful photos and your descriptions of each place have been wonderful. Lucky Bay sounds like it will definitely be on my bucket list. Take care. Sue (Rochelle) xx
Homeward bound Hey Sue, glad you've enjoyed the Bago blog. I know we will thoroughly enjoy re reading our adventures when we get home too. Not to mention the stacks and stacks of photos!
Rob sounds like Brian's long lost shipmate Hi Lynn, hopefully you are getting the occasional comments I pop in. Just had to say that Rob and Brian (hubbie) would have kept pace in the museum AND shipwrecks to boot. I would have been with you in the market. I can see all the things we will recommend for you when you get to NZ next year (note I am saying WHEN!!). Must be a bit of a shock to have the cooler nights. B*gger about the heater. Hope you are still enjoying life and not missing the grandies too much. Hugs....Karen
Comments received Hi karen, yes I do get all the comments and really love to hear from folk when they comment! I havent responded as I'm not sure if you get to see them, but I'll try!
Hi Lynn! Love reading about your trip. Too bad the cooler weather is catching up with you. Did you see on the net about Alice Springs today? Hit by amazing hailstorm and it's covered in white ice! Never seen anything like it ever before. Have a look! Miss you on Mojo. Mel is back, which is nice. Suesie is off to Noosa soon for a holiday and I've just returned from Victoria and about to head to the Gold Coast. SueK has sold her house and bought another and is about to move in and Karen's new house is half finished. Just thought I'd fill you in. Take care - hope that headache didn't hang around for long. xx
Would so love to be there with you Hi Lynn and Rob, you are certainly whetting our appetite to do the round trip of Australia. I can't believe the miles you are covering. It will be very different in NZ when you come over as distances of 2 hours driving or less get you to somewhere new. I keep saying to Brian, you have to read today's blog, it's really interesting. He knew all about the prison and is keen as still to do a swap. Have fun and enjoy, miss you on Mojo site but I think we are all reading about your travels....Hugs....Karen
Broome I'm interested in your trip to Broome Lynn. Love the photos of Cable Beach etc. Yes it sounds like you have some great tours lined up. Fantastic!!!!
On the way to Broome Great you've had your home visit, also having a sneak peek at the new job lined up. Understand you getting a head cold with the huge difference in the temperature in Inverloch & Darwin! Hope you feel better real soon. Do you remember the story of my getting my dog Lynn? The doctor (haematologist) who owned it moved to Broome and was flying to the communities from Broome and said it was the happiest time in his life. He loved it. Did I tell you he died last year? Just aged 67. So sad. His wife has moved to Perth to be near her son, also a doctor. She is currently in Newcastle at present and will be visiting the dog tomorrow. Just had to tell you. Love,Sue x
Hi Lynn! Lovely to see you enjoying the Ghan! Looks like a wonderful treat to end this part of your journey and as you say you're ready for a grandkid fix. We've also just arrived home after having 10 days in Victoria. Spent 5 days in Melbourne, 3 at Bright and then 2 in Bendigo. We also did a beautiful steam train trip from Charmaine to Waldon yesterday. Have you done that? Excellent!! I'm going to read the rest of your story as I've just gotten on line now. So lovely to see the photos too. Enjoy!! Love, Sue x
Love it! Love the blog Lynnie! Litchfeild NP is a favourite of mine, especially the swimming holes! They are so wonderfully refreshing. Thanks for the reminder of how amazing life is! PS that is the best snap shot of you diving into the swimming hole too :-) it's great to be alive! Xxoo
The Ghan How exciting for you both. The next week or so sound very hectic so it will be nice to have a little time out back home with the wee ones. Loving your Blog and can't wait to see what the west has to offer. Sunrise have been filming from the Kimberly and it looks absolutely amazing. This morning they were at a place called Lake Argyle just out of Kununurra. The caravan park has been voted Australia's best park and you could definitely see why. If you are in the neighbourhood might be worth a visit. She also said the horizontal falls near Broome were one of the top 5 things she has ever experienced. You can see I'm just itching to get up there. Maybe one day. shaz
Loving the blog Hey guys, looks as though you are having the time of your lives. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us tomorrow. Safe travels.
Povo pensioners Looks like you povo pensioners are doing pretty well but glad the noodles came in handy :)
Loving the blog, and seeing the gorgeous photos and scenery. And VERY envious of the warmth and sunny blue skies - we're blowing away down here :(
Loved the sign - snake show and tyre repairs Hi Guys, loving the blog. Such a beautiful part of the world and we have it right here on our doorstep (stretching that one a little but you know what I mean). Tell Rob that I love his umurr about the mine, reminds me of something Richy would say. 10 4 good buddies
Chillagoe If you are going to Chillagoe, well worth the stop to look at the caves. We did the 3 cave pack and loved it. Not sure how much it was but even if you get to do one it would be worth it. Temperatures are about to rise. We saw a Dad cassowary on the Cape Trib walkway with a young one. Very hard to spot the baby. Was there for about 10 minutes and we were like statues. Safe driving and it you take any photos of termite hills, remember to stand next to them for size comparison....Hugs....Karen
