Well the girls slept in this morning, and enjoyed it VERY much! Christie went for a run along the Seattle waterfront, Rob was up at the crack of dawn for an east coast time zone conference call for work and since he was up he decided he'd go try and find the boys of Deadliest Catch! After a few minutes online Rob was standing in front of the Northwestern, the Rollo, and the Wizard. He got to tour the NorthWestern and meet Edgar from the show!!! Pretty legit! After we packed up and checked out, we decided we were hungry and to grab a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe, since Kels wanted to see the cafe. As we walked in, one of the workers immediately got excited and yelled "Yeah go giants!" ,since ... read more

Today we spent our day at the wonderful campus of University of Washington or also known as U-Dubs. Kels and Chey kept saying how the campus felt like Hogwarts. Chey and Kels tried to blend like they were in college; some guys were even checking them out! SCARYYY! After walking around, we grabbed some grub at Mongolian grill; all of our plates were filled high with delicious food. While walking the streets, a Vegan girl dressed in a cow costume offered us some vegan sausage we all found it disgusting except for Kelsey. But one of the funniest things said today was while walking by an all you can eat vegetarian buffet Christie said “Isn’t that just a salad bar?” We all had a good laugh. Then after our bellies were filled we headed down to ... read more

We spent the day at Pike's Market today. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. Pike's is a huge market that has the freshest fish, fruit, flowers and lots of local artists. One of the most well known spots is the Pike Fish Market with its freshly caught "low flying fish". We also had clam chowder overlooking Elliot Bay before grabbing a latte at the original Starbucks #1. We actually googled it to see just how many Starbucks were located in Seattle. A grand total of 424 Starbucks exist within the city limits, no wonder if feels like you could give directions by them! Chey has personally counted 16 locations. The girls also met a local muscian Morrison Boomer and came home with a CD named Down by the Hatch. That night we ... read more

The title of today’s blog is an actual mural that we saw today in Portland. And while Oregonian’s are quite nice I got to say there are a few kooky things about this state. The first is you try to pump your own gas, be prepared to be tackled, because it is not legal due to “safety reasons”. Also Oregon has no sales tax, which the girls capitalized on today. They did some power shopping at Pioneer Place in downtown Portland today. Also to be clear I am a Californian girl and all for being green but I have noticed that the fine folks of Oregon take recycling very, very seriously, they almost militant about the issue. I saw a T-Shirt today on a guy that said something along the lines of recycle or we will ... read more

Hi Everyone! Okay so day #2 after the complimentary breakfast and a very good latte from the "The Dutchman" (I've noticed them everywhere, I think it may be Oregon's version of a Starbucks). We headed out to the Evergreen Aviation & Space museum. As excited as Rob was you'd think it we were on our way to Disneyland! The Spruce Goose was beyond big, it was ginormous! We paid extra for a tour of the cockpit and he got to sit where Howard Hughes piloted the plan and made history. The girls had a really good time too, and took plenty of pictures to prove it! In fact Kelsey and Chey made a special video just for Chey's mom which we will post tonight. After we left the museum we headed to downtown Portland and checked ... read more
