Vivid memories! What a great blog! I lived in Taupo for a year back in 2001 and had an absolute blast! The rock and ropes was one of my favorites as was the tongariro crossing and ruapehu. Leaping out of a plane is fun too. Enjoy Rota-vegas, I assume you wil be doing the Zorb and the luge??
Congrats on finishing an amazing tour with both of you still alive. Your photos of Ellis Island remind me of the FIVE HOURS I spent there in 2004 waiting for my dear father to have his fill of what the family now lovingly terms 'history shite'. Having a look at my bookshelf, I fear I may be destined to the same fate..
Have never done NYC any later than November so it's an interesting look at it through your lens. How did they let ye plundering international terrorists into the U.N.?
Will miss the blogs!
Well done you two! Well done you two its been quite the trip!
I give it three weeks before the novelty of being home wears off and you get itchy feet again...
You'll be welcome back in Sydney anytime!
That picture: "No shoes, no shirt.." is absolutely golden. The amount of places in the USA that won't serve you if you're not wearing a shirt... unbelievable. I think I might detour to Belize sometime.
Great writing as always, was thinking ye had been kidnapped!
New Mayo Manager You probably know already but John O'Mahony is back as Mayo manager and hungrier as ever! Great news, my dad is delighted.
Enjoy Belize...
Classss Hey Rach...making me feel soooh jealous would do anything to be back there again!Just love NZ...class pics! When are yez back> Never got to see ya after the game...lol... snake2bar@hotmail.com
Physical exercise Wow, talk about making a man feel lazy! Amazing amount of stuff you've got up to in the past while. Had no idea you guys were going to be back so soon - fantastic! 5 weeks left, what what? ;)
Christ on a Bike I nearly destroyed myself on the views over the edge alone. Well done!! 450ft is roughly 450 feet more than I would be willing to jump off.......
Grand Final It's nice and all that you went to see Tadgh and those merry Swans but they will fall foul of the mighty Eagles in the Grand Final who will peck them to shreds in revenge for their cheeky win last year at the MCG!! GO ON THE EAGLES!!!!
Bid: if you ever need any kind of organ transplant I'll be first in line to offer my organs however you need to throw in the real-live author of that signature as well!!!
Re: Sympathies Thanks Niall for your touching words, although a bit harsh to call the trip "ill-advised".....one must keep the faith with the team through thick n' thin, and we'll be back with our hats, flags n' headbands next year again! Still, Tadhg Kennelly of the Sydney Swans also had some nice words to say when I met him (keep an eye out for the Sydney blog entry soon for some pictures!), so the pain is beginning to ease!
HEY Hey Rachael and Tom, omg, hahahaha just seen Tom in the stinger suit.........hilarious. Sorry about the Match Rachael but in a way at least the didn't win without you there. Fermangh knew Oonagh and I were away in Oz you see so they held back this year. As for next though, who knows Rach, might see you both in Croke park head to head. hehehe So where are you both now????
Sympathies Rachel,
My condolences and deepest deepest sympathies on your ill-advised trip home for the sad and depressing spectacle (for Mayo people) that was Kerry's 34th Senior All-Ireland Title.
Alas Mayo played their final against Dublin. Maybe next year for ye, but its a BIG maybe.
Ciarrai Abu, An Riocht
unreal Sniff sniff. Another bad day at the office, as my poor dad said. Meeting Bertie made up for it I'm sure!
The pics at Geesala NS are just so precious. Great article :-)
