..down with that sort of thing.. ...careful now Niall.. there's no failte for sentiments of green and gold on this blogsite! Just leaving Sydney airport.....ooooh the green and red of Maaaayoooooo
Keep a seat warm Ah you poor thing, Barrett, I'll keep a seat warm for you in Croker while I watch your gallant countrymen battle it out against the Kingdom. Great pictures, surf that's literally to die for!
Oz / Mayo Good to see your still alive and kicking. For a while we thought Hisbola or their equivalent out in Asia had recruited you. Instead of the Columbia 3 it would have been the Geesala 1. Oz must have been a big disappointment for you...... imagine travelling half way around the world to wonderful Austrailia to be greated with Sea and Rock - sure you would have got that in Mayo. Are you coming home for the All Ireland. Oul Mickey has made some job of you's. The only thing is you have yet to have a "MAYO DAY" in the championship and I hope it doesn't come in the final again like 2004.
If Thomas gets that 2Kg of stuff home there will be some party in Mayo on the 3rd sunday in September.
Dub-ble disaster... Sunday - a black day. Mayo like a phoenix from the flames, rise up and defeat the Dubs, followed by a Derry victory over Shelbourne in the FAI Cup. Adding insult to injury I had to spend 2 hours editting the Shels game for highlights and interviews, reliving the goal too many times. Well done to Mayo all the same and I will be shouting for ye in the final.
I'm off to cry into my keyboard....
The Match What a Match, for a while it looked like "the Mill at the Hill II" was going to explode, game of the century!! so so so sweet to beat the dubs!!!! Mayo Abu!
I really hope you got to see that Mayo game... we have had to order defibrillators in here from the stress - and I'm not even from the place!! P.S. Louth won the Mickey Mouse cup too woohoo. Go n'eírigh an bóthar leat etc
... Belated Happy Birthday Rach!! :) Dublin vs Mayo!! Excellent. Jesus lads the Sunday games were awful. Loais should be banned from playing :) and I don't know but I thought the Kerry Cork game was poor too!! Eitherway, all the Mayo lads in work have gotten hostile since the win. I can only assume they are stockpiling excuses for their pending defeat ;) hehe
Anyways Western Oz looks.....sandy. Bring us home a Dracula Rat. Sorry for the recent lack of emails Thomas. No mad news, just Shelbourning away and I have been out once in 2 months. I am a Party Animal ;) Abi says hi!!
Bringing it all back. AAh, those shots of Perth, Freo and the perfect glassy surf bring it all back. I'm getting teary now... Who in their right minds suggested you go north of Perth, there's sweet FA up there! Margs is class though, did you go down to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, probably not? Weird to be out on the edge of the oceans. Pity you missed the AFL game, if it had been a few years ago there would always have been empty seats at Subiaco!
How frequently does Thomas shave his head???
And also you'd be a while paddling in that wee boat before you came into Clew Bay I'd say...
Maigh Eo We will be trotting along in your honour (myself and my Achill housemate) to see Maigh Eo flounder (geddit?) in a spirited battle against Micko's resurgent Laois army! Ah no, just kidding etc. I'm sure the red and green army will make another All-Ireland in my lifetime ;-)
Great writing btw... will email you soon.
Scary How did you stick those lizards and scary things! Was a spider in the kitchen today and Cathy thought I had seen a ghost, with the screams of me!!! I would never last there!!!
Yay!! Your back. The temples look incredible but the beaches look even better. Thomas, you look very fetching in your scuba gear. Fair play to your continuing willingness to get into dodgy cars and buses. can anyone in Asia drive correctly? Are you meeting many irish on your travels? 5 months away now guys!!
Fantastic pictures, although ye're nuts jumping into that muddy river, with your earlier reports on Asians' lax attitude to locations of defecation!
Keep up the good work...
... Hiyas!!!
So when you buy extra stuff on your travels, is there room to carry it? The place looks incredible. I am sitting in an Office on Dames Street wishing I was not so I have to say jealousy is creeping in. Remember if travelling gets to you and your all tired and fed up, just think, I could be getting up and walking to work every day doing the same dull boring job day in, day out. Once again, fair play to ye for getting up and going. Have you seen any World Cup Thomas :). Dublin hockeyed Laois in the GAA so now we are deemed challengers despite being written off after our unconvincing Longford win!!
... With all that Fight Club training, were you tempted to jump in the ring and show them a few scoob moves? The Henrik Larsson crane kick!!! :)
Your very fetching in your apron Scoob.
Pictures Can't believe you guys!!!!! Those poor poor animals!!!
We must have changed you in the Transsib!!!! I'm going to write Greenpeace about the horrors that you've been doing!!!
MUAHAHAHAHA..
anyway, smit and me will win this contest!!!
Red Panda I see you've figured out a way to cut laundry bills - plastic sheeting for a skirt ! Plastic gloves too ! You're getting a cleanliness obsession -I'm getting worried ! Can you bring a panda home ? -Leave the blue sheet behind - that style is soo.. last year.
