Delayed reaction I can so relate to Genevieve's comment. Now that things are all booked we're getting excited, got the Spanish cd and records out(remember records?) and the maps and travel guides. We know it'll be different after 17 years, but we'll have the best guides.
You are experiencing another culture first hand and learning things you could never learn from books(like the concept of manana, maybe?) or school.
Home sweet home! Looks great, lots of room. Enough for a gang of goons passing through on a canoe trip. But no golf course! To fat for basketball. Glad to see you all are making it work and taking in all the adventures with an open attitude. Great blogs !
The View Hi Ron - just a short note. It looks absolutely great. A friend of mine has talked about Costra Rica for years and about setting up a little bar and staying permanently. I now see why!

Funny once the stress of booking the ticket is over now we can anticipate!!! We are glad that you are learning so much about what to do etc. You will be the best tour guides ever, hopefully you come with a family rate?!?!? lol. Anyways, talk to you soon, and see you later!
Love Genevieve and Mitch
wow! Hi to all! Rae was thrilled to hear Owen's voice this evening, and we immediately went to the blog address to check out your adventures. Sounds amazing! We are so jealous. Will check in often. Take care and keep on having fun. Special hellos to Owen and Ben.
Thanks Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, we are enjoying the pictures and your stories. Sure sounds like your having a mixture of fun and challenges. Take Care Love Aunti Lil and family
hmmm you guys are really living the life! The weather is still nice here in Saskatoon and I'm busy working so I can take some time in Jan to come and visit. Do you think Owen and Ben would take me to a good body surfing beach?
Hi I really enjoy reading about your adventure. I thought I'd let you know that I find all of you full of courage, really I envy you. I had some good news the other day, I'm cancer free for now.
Have a very good thanksgiving day and I promise I'll have some turkey for you.
Love you all

Thanksgiving Happy Thanksgiving to all!! I do believe all of you will come back fluent Spanish speakers. What a learning experience for the boys! your school sounds great. I am having my family here on Sunday so am busy getting things lined up. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
so now will you have a mailing address? Hola! The children at Alleykatz are wondering if they can send "stuff" to Benjamin and Owen? Cool Spiderman costume, Benjamin! Glad to hear all is going in a more "tranquilo" fashion! I just keep thinking that your whole experience is so amazing and the gift you are giving to the boys is life changing. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Nowlan family! We love you!
variety? Hi to the Nolans:; Just arrived in Winnipeg to visit our youngest son, Darrell and family.
Good grief! From what I have read so far all of you are having an experience that would be very difficult to emulate in Eastend! Methinks a diary of you ventures would make for great reading 10-20 years into the future.
By the way, how are the golf courses?a
Nataghia: Denise and I are taking four months of Tai Chi from an instructor from Maple Creek.
Have a restful thanksgiving ( in the fullest sense of the phrase) and good luck with the new surroundings and job(s).

Happy Thanksgiving!! Hi there folks,
Just a quick note to wish you a happy Thanksgiving...will you be tracking down a turkey? Graham is having sushi (what else??) for Thanksgiving!!
Seat at the table We are planning on setting up a webcam on Sunday so you Costa Ricans can have a virtual seat at the Thanksgiving table. Send me an email if you are able to snag an internet connection.
Thankful things are looking up for you It's so nice to hear from Nataghia, too. From what I've heard about living in Central America, you will be busy enough just keeping the household running smoothly, so enjoy the freedom while you have it! Ron, I enjoy your blogs, too.
We'll miss you this weekend, but as the title says, we're all thankful things are going better and that you have a place to call home for now. Aren't kids resilient?
I finally have taken the time to enjoy your blogs, Wow you guys are sure expeiencing it all. It is nice to see pictures of the boys. Look forward to more entries.
The Church OK, you're right EZ does it! It faces West so the morning sun can shine onto the congregation through the stained glass windows. Nice try, you get points for being clever.
We are a Canadian family moving to Costa Rica for the 2007-2008 school year. We will be exploring discovering and understanding the Costa Rican culture, nature and how to surf!
