night buses Hey Mark,
I took quite a few night buses myself in Australia years ago to save money on a night's stay somewhere. However, the buses in Australia 31 years ago just may have been more comfortable than Turkey's buses today. : )
I also remember reaching the point of having seen enough castles in Europe, even longer ago. So if you don't catch all of the ruins, I understand.
I'm glad to hear you're still having a great trip. Always glad to get your updates.

Ephesus Hi Mark
Glad you are safe and enjoying your travels. I am enjoying reading your blog. You could be a travel writer if you ever want to change careers! Along the west coast of Turkey is a place called Izmir and about 40 min inland is Ephesus. You have to go there it is incredible and you will not regret it. Stay safe
You're welcome little bro! Glad to assist in keeping you well rested after the long travel days. Evidently you haven't run out yet, a good sign you are more compliant than someone else I know :) Enjoy Turkey!

oh boy This part of the trip was very unfortunate. With your type of travelling, there are always adversities, but this one was a little over the top. I'm glad it's behind you.
thanks Thanks Mark for these latest updates. It gives a whole other insight to what your travels have been. I can't wait to see pictures and hear more stories associated with them. Happy travels!
Cairo Your third day in Cairo, at the park, reminded me of the great interactions that happen in travelling a foreign country. That must have been fun........and certainly memorable!
Just a guy from Calgary, Alberta, Canada who was lucky enough to get a 12 week leave of absence from work to do some serious sightseeing! Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey and Greece are on the rather flexible itinerary!... full info
