Fabulous
Hi Viv and John Amazing pictures and so lovely to get so close. As a person who suffers from seasickness you have my sympathy. I was even sick on a big cruiser in the lagoon in Venice and had to endure a coach trip back to the hotel so I know exactly how you felt. LoveBarb and Dave xx

Botanical gardens
Hi Viv and John What beautiful scenery and they must get a real mix of weather to get roses like that or do they water all the time. It looks like a lovely life on Vancouver Island. Victoria looks interesting and I’ve already seen the picture of the whale so lovely way to end your last days in Canada. Love Barb and Dave xx

Really lush here due to very varied weather Barb. A lot of Vancouver Island is rainforest. Wonderful place!

Fabulous necklace
I love your cousin's colourful necklace which looks great on her dark linen dress/top.. Brentwood, Tod(d) and Butchart - all names I'm very familiar with! I have a picture of irises on the wall which was a gift of a poster from the Butchart Gardens. I had if framed and love the colours. Reading that your tent, mattress and sleeping bags have gone really brought it home that your trip is drawing to its close. How terrific the Salvation Army appreciated the gifts so much. A friend is off to Vancouver with her family in August. I've forwarded your blogs from Whistler/Ice Parkway to her. She's really enjoyed them. Make the most of this week. We'll all miss the blogs after 29th. Love to you both. xx

Hi Ann. Yes I thought of you with the names Brentwood and Tod (even without the double D. Kaye is an artist who makes jewellery. She will be pleased you like her necklace (one of her creations). She is very stylish! I think we are wearing our heart necklaces she made in one of the photos as well (mine is purple and she has a red one on). They are made of light weight modelling clay,

Sea and animal art
Had a look at Roy Henry Vickers work on internet, not to my liking...have a look at the stuff by Robert Wyland...which is fabulous apart from the artwork when he colaborates with others, he does the marine stuff while others do the land. He paints huge outside wall murals and does sculptures as well.....but the price....wow

Bear Spray
Bear spray in the 'quick draw' position! Nice try! Thermos of traveller alcohol more like! (Only joking). There won't be many times you are photographed with Bear spray at the ready. Congratulations on reaching the Pacific coast. I hope you saw Winnie's relatives when you were out today and that Vancouver delivers a few more jewels for your Canadian memories. xx

Amazing scenery
Hi Viv and John You have us on the edge of our seats going up those narrow mountain roads. No room for error there. Canada really does keep giving and giving. I don’t think we had any idea of the scale of it. Looking forward to the last leg love Barb and Dave xx

Amazing photos
Hi Viv and John These pictures are spectacular. I think you should write a travel book with all your photos and information about the journeys you have made. The majority of people would never see these sights. Love Barb and a Dave xx

Enjoying the trip
Hi Viv and John Your blogs and photos bring Canada to life. It is a beautiful but rugged country. The weather changes must be very strange although we seem to have gone back to winter ourselves with very heavy rain all week and only 13 degrees. Not sure what happened to flaming June. Glad you are enjoying it all take care love Barb and Dave xx

Travelling
Just love the 'odd' cute names some of these places have. Wishing you a continuing safe journey

Heady stuff
5644 Km brought you to turquoise waters, the Emerald Lake and stunning 'Icefields Parkway'. What a reward! It gets better and better. (After all those lovely Indian place names, 'Icefields Parkway' sounds strangely modern and a bit like the name of a train station for a shopping mall!). Onwards........................ Love to you both.

PLace Names
Ha Ha! I know! It sounds just like a shopping mall or railway station to me too! xxxx
