What a trip! You are so right. How could you ever have anticipated being in the jungle in 2018 when you married in 1967! It's a wonderful story and makes for spellbinding reading. The leeches leave me cold! (horrid) but that little yellow kingfisher is a delight. Such a bonus that chez Cussell was lovely. You're certainly making the most of it. Fabulous! Take care. What an interesting read this morning. The photos are great and the colour and heat come off the page. I love the quote from the ‘no gin but very small vodka’ bar. We popped over from Almeria to see husband's daughters and their families in Portsmouth area first 2 weeks in March.....it was cold, windy and it snowed!!!Glad Hampshire treated you better. Have a fabulous time, will enjoy travelling along with you

Writing this first 'starting/preparation' blog from the comfort of home is so exciting. Travelling light!
Have never managed 12 kg but did manage 13 kg when we went to Brazil. That was going straight there from Spain in summer months so no need for much warm gear. Thanks for following our blog. Cheers!

We are off island-hopping in Thailand for the month of February. We shall leave home on the 1st of the month and return on 29th (an extra day for Leap Year)! Our journey will be from Alicante to Barcelona by train, then two flights, the first from Barcelona to Doha and the second from Doha to Phuket, both with Qatar Airways. Although this will be our forth visit to the "Land of Smiles", we haven't been there for eleven years and plan to visit islands we haven't seen before. In 2009, we travelled overland from Singapore to the island of Langkawi, Northern Malaysia, in the Southern Andaman Sea. ... full info
