Well, seems a definite full day. Many miles you all have added on, loved seeing the pictures from Stonehenge, and looks like the weather held up beautiful blue skies and clear photos. Making me hungry for bacon... might have to pull some from the freezer, lol. Hoping Danielle and Larry have safe travels back state side. (Dee I am sure your invite to the royal wedding shall arrive on time...don't unpack your bags)
Thank you for exploring today Larry and Danielle, allowing Mitch and Dee to rest up for a full day of exploration!! Climbing ALL those stairs, KUDOS to you both. The view is spectacular and so worth the trek!! Food looks delish, and beverages as well. Looking forward to seeing the sights tomorrow.
As your trip winds down it has been an education to many of us going around the world. Thank you for sharing your memories and giving back an education of all the places you have visited. Love you both and travel safe back to the land of the free......
Windsor Castle is far more impressive than I could have imagined, the grand reception room is just that GRAND! This was a lot in one day. Stonehenge is amazing but I always think of the movie Spinal Tap when I see it! ? if you don’t know what I’m talking about you need to look it up. Happy you made it back to the flat in one piece, take day to rest and eat some good pub grub.
I really want a Pimm’s, looks refreshing and delicious! Great job climbing those stairs to show us the view from St. Paul’s, spectacular! The tapas dishes are making me hungry, everything looks so good. Sounds like you have a full day ahead of you with fun sites to see. Enjoy!
Happiest Birthday Wishes and Dreams Mitchell !!!! Birthday Gin & Tonic looked delish...interesting to put a slice of grapefruit in it.. and appeared to be a "wine glass"??!! None the less...Cheers and Down the Hatch :) Such a fun filled day to share amongst friends, beautiful photos, thank you for sharing all the information too. Glad you took a day off to rest, and am sure everyone slept very well this particular night. Again, glad your Birthday was an Awesome day!!!
Happy Birthday Mitch! Looks like you had a great day and were king of the castle! Did you also have tea in the drawing room? Loved learning about the history of the castle. Many great photos today, loved the one of Larry and Danielle on Dover Beach. Cheers! ?
Such beautiful photos in St Jame's Park, the streets seem very busy and hectic as compared to others during your visits, maybe due to the lovely weather. Westminster Abbey is filled with loads of history, again .... Mitch you have fulfilled your teachings here!! Glad to see everyone is having a fantastic time!!
Oh My Mitch.... such the poet!! Thank goodness it was just Dee's pride the got injured, and her tush, that bruise looks not so pretty too!! Larry and Danielle.. kudos for sharing your photos of the sights you are bravely venturing off to. Such another beautiful day was had... That Pub Grub looks delish, may have to make some of that soon.
The Market, another which does not disappoint! We seriously need to work on this in the United States!! Another amazing day, well spent making fond memories. The buildings, such interesting shapes to them, remind me of the I4 nightmare, nonetheless very pretty, especially seeing I always figures London to be mostly "Old World" style. Thanks for the lesson!
Gotta Love the Belgium Chocolates!!!!! Happy Birthday to Larry, what a place to celebrate at, enjoy the days of the years ahead!! Food looks fantastic, Pints of Beer even better! Holy Pipes!!!! Bet they sounded amazing ;) Glad the weather has finally decided to give you a break, definitely strange the location it happens at. Enjoy your adventures....
I did not know that Charles Dickens and Sir Isaac Newton are buried in Westminster Abbey, interesting. It’s amazing how many bodies are in there.
The lunch platter looked delicious. I am hoping to see you all running in the marathon today! ?
As I started reading this post I was feeling for you Dee, what an awful thing to happen. Then I got to ‘Twas indeed a WFT moment! I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. ? Mitch that was so hilariously clever. Dee I am glad you are ok minus the awful bruise and bruised ego. So much for taking it easy. The London Eye had amazing views, very cool.
Love the market! I would go crazy in there. The Mudlark is an interesting name for a restaurant. Is it just me but did that sausage look like a coiled snake? Looks like a good time was had by all!
The weather looks fantastic for walking and eating ice cream, those cones looked yummy. I liked seeing some of the modern oddly shaped buildings. I always think of England as old world. Loved the photo of the Tower Bridge all lit up. Say hi to the Royal Family, maybe you’ll get an invite to the wedding! ?
The Last Laps.... Well, grateful you made it safely. The flat looks splendid and not to disappoint. May your adventures begin and continue to fill your spirits. Lots to see, not sure where I would start... Danielle and Larry are brave souls to dangle above...FUN!!! (I don't think Sophie's cat looks as if she will miss you, lol)
So pleased that your trip has been successful so far with a few bumps...but seriously ... that is what makes the trip even more memorable.... May the rest of the days be filled with even more moments of laughter and exploration!! History is everywhere, so teacher continue the lessons, as I look forward to them (just don't quiz me when you get back). Safe travels wished to London and the days ahead. I am sure your successes will continue to bloom. Say Hello to the Queen!!
Aaaahhhhh the history teacher you have become Mitch!!! I wish my Social Studies teacher was this interesting!!!! Haha Again, the beautiful sightings that you share, thank you again and again... I suppose the money I found on your " money tree" in your backyard ya gonna need me to send to you....????? LOL!!
Oh my what a view you found and explored today!!! Looks as if it came right out of a fairytale!!! The lil' ladies will adore viewing the photos and imagining what life would of been like. Dee, cant wait to smell "Sophie's Scent", I am sure you smell amazing as always....will this replace "Angel"????? Thanks for sharing yet another amazing day with us!!!
I have to ask:
Is that American Cheese they tried to melt on Nachos? Was it good (or part of the "forgettable" meal)? I have to say this is the first picture I saw that I cringed at.
Can’t believe you are heading to the last leg of the trip already! Time flies when you’re having fun. Beautiful necklace for Sophie, looks fantastic on here, you have great taste Dee. Have a safe flight to London. ?
