Welcome home, Ann and Big Mike!!! So glad you had a wonderful time and safe travels. Thanks for keeping me in the loop of all the outings. I felt as though I was right there with you! Love and hugs, SG.
What amazing experiences. The Spaniards seem to be very comfortable with street art and street music and dancing. Maybe we could learn a bit from them.
Besalu It is great that you happen to be in the village when they were having their fair. Sometimes lucky timing can add a lot to the experience.
We are enjoying your posts.
Lots of variety What a wonderful Spanish experience you are having. Spain really has an amazing set of artists - Dali, Gaudi, Picasso and more - with very different art and architectural styles. It gives a lot of interest to your trip.
Enjoy the Tapas!
Adios Espagna Thank you for sharing stories, photos and histories from so many fascinating places. It's been a joy and a privilege to follow your travels ....I've loved every step of the journey! Safe travel home.
Thanks Thanks heaps for all the wonderful updates. I've had some computer problems and now just back online and catching up on the missed blogs. You've obviously had a wonderful time and now coming back to nicer days in the Capital. Spring has certainly sprung!! Safe travels, look forward to a catch in the weeks ahead. Blessings Phil and Liz
Insect Accommodation Love the insect hotel! I saw something like this in Canberra recently and thought it was a very artistic and attractive way to store one's firewood. Clearly I missed the point entirely.
ps: I can hear your rude comments.
SMILING I have so enjoyed reading your daily blogs, and especially to see the interesting photos ... and ones with your smiling faces!!!! You have had a fantastic adventure, and I praise and thank God for answered prayer and you have remained safe. Have fun on your last days. Playgroup awaits you Mike!!!!! Lotsaluv xx
Monastery delights That sounds absolutely divine!! I do like a chant (especially the Gregorian variety). And what a perfect way to round off your liqueur tasting sojourn too.
Spain I've enjoyed reading your last few blogs about your travels in Spain... such varied experiences and landscapes. I especially enjoyed the blog on Dali... I love his work, and I'd have to say he was both a genius and a freak :)
Barcelona It looks like a city with a lot of confidence. Old and new buildings and bold architecture. Thank you Ann and Mike for all the photos and wonderful description.
We have not ceased being amazed by your journey so far Ann and Mike! Such rich history. You should have been a journalist as your descriptions of each place (and food!!) make me feel like we're right there with you. Sorry to hear you're not ready to come home - we miss you and look forward to hearing more stories in person. xo
Barcelona: I thought people who went to Bowral or Bateman's Bay for lunch were intrepid ... but dinner in Barcelona with Canberra friends is on another scale altogether!!! Glad you had such a lovely time together.
Montserrat Couldn't open pics however, remember it like yesterday! Simply beautiful. Thanks for the memories xxx ps we had to get the sheep cheese from the markets!
Photos Hi Sharyn, so glad you are reliving your trip!! Mike said his photos came through but you might need to wait a while because there are a LOT of them - have no idea what he means!!!!
Italy We are enjoying all your beautiful photos and wonderful descriptions. We feel that we are there with you, except for the temperature! A little snow fell in Canberra and surrounds on Sunday.
Join us as we head off on Our Next Great Adventure, this time more of Italia and first time to Espagna (see we speak the language already). ... full info
