Name of restaurant where you had the paella Hello, my wife and I from Canada will be visiting Barcelona in March 2018, I was wondering if you remember the name of the restaurant where you had the paella, the picture of it (along with your other pictures of your trip in Spain) is awesome!!
Paella Hi Kevin, I am sorry but I don't and haven't had time to find it again. We will try this afternoon before we leave Barcelona tomorrow. While it was good and certainly tasty, I suspect it is far from authentic as it didn't have the "crispy" rice bottom where it has slightly stuck to the pan and was more like risotto. You might need to have your own adventure!! You will love Barcelona, SO much happening all the time. Enjoy your holiday.
Wonderful! Hi
What a dummy - I just logged on to your blog thinking it had been a while since I had heard anything. And there were many posts. Have got up to date, thankfully. What a wonderful time you are having. It is great to hear your news and see some photos. Tremezzo sounds fantastic - smaller town are always attractive, we agree. And it sounds nice to be ferrying, then walking then on a funicular....... We are envious!!!
We loved Murano and Torcello (cats!) and the amazing mosaics in the Church.
So glad you are having a great time. Looking forward to hearing and seeing more. love from Kerry and Peter ? Go Tigers - can you believe Tigers finished 3rd!! Missed out on reserved MCC tix this morning but will line up on Sept 8.
Quieter Day What beautiful gardens and stunning views! And my kind of Church too. After all, what's not to like about a few cups of wine after the service? (PS: Note to self: Beware ... there's a theme emerging here.)
Thanks for the lovely photos and the informative descriptions about your travels in northern Italy. We feel that we are traveling with you. It is a cool but sunny day in Canberra today, but your Italian warmth is coming through to us!
Beautiful Lake Como Dear Ann and Mike, so enjoying your blog and beautiful photos. Lake Como and surrounds look amazing. ( have you seen George Clooney?) I agree with you Ann about the visiting the quieter smaller places. Your stamina is awe inspiring! Enjoy the warmth, still cold in Canberra! Bryan and I are now in Queensland enjoying the warmth which is helping to ease the pain in my arm! God bless, enjoy the rest of your holiday, love from Bryan and Cynthia.
Thanks so much for taking on this amazing journey with you. The pics are fantastic and so pleased you are having such a great time. Sure beats the cold weather back home I'm sure!!
WHERE IS THAT 'LIKE' BUTTON AGAIN!!! Interesting, interesting! Love seeing the photos!! Glad you are enjoying your adventures, and I remember the special laces at Burano ... and the canals!!! God bless you both in your travels xx
Venezia An old family friend used to say 'I don't need a clock to tell me when I can have a drink'! So, Prosecco at 10.30am sounds absolutely delightful. Thank you for sharing such great stories and photos. They're stunning.
SMILING Well Ann and Mike - what an adventure and I have loved reading your blogs and enjoyed seeing the great photos. (always looking to click LIKE!!) Love the mushy one :-)!! So pleased you are enjoying the culinary delights too, and the weather seems ideal. God bless xx
