Wonderful I heard the same for Chinese tea. Teabags are low grade, the expensive leaves can cost thousands of dollars. Dilmah is from Sri Lanka and is this factory associated to them? Wonderful experience for tea drinker ;-)
Fantastic stuff Martha
It's rare that I can come up for air these days with an incredibly hectic work schedule, but we love your detailed travel blog entries. And we are living vicariously through your travels. Keep the good stuff coming. Stay healthy and look out for Phil.

Tea! As a lover of a cuppa I was surprised, and thankful to you to discover that tea bags only contain tea dust. I'll try to only drink leaf tea in future. It all sounds very interesting. M xx
Elections & Herbalist What a fantastic post! It was so interesting on the political as well as the herbal. I hope you'll still remember all the uses of the different herbs so you can give me the knowledge when we meet again. How is the work side of Sri Lanka going for you both? Lots of love. M xx
The calf is not the only thing born today! Hi there,
Speaking of births, Lorraine's a grandmother again! Michael and Sam had their little girl on Michael's birthday the 3rd. Her name is Isolena Elizabeth after both her great grandmother's! Hang on if I'm her great aunt you guys must be great greats! Doesn't get any better than that!
What a colorful country Sri Lanka is! Great photos! Thanks for sharing.

Bicycles & the like Copenhagen is the place for thousands of bike riders who have right of way over cars and all other traffic!
And Vietnam is like Jaffna in that certain streets sell certain goods, many of the 'shops' are just set up on the pavements.
Looking forward to swapping travellers tales when we both get home! M xx
Just hangin' out My, I am impressed at the commitment displayed by the hanging devotees! One wonders how frequently they can display their devotion - there must be some damage done to them which requires a recovery period.
Life Goes On As I looked at your photos,
Your photos show the indomitable human will which perseveres despite circumstances which could devastate the spirit as well as the buildings.
Were the chocolates molten?
What a beautiful place!!
What an education! ...your trip is turning out to be. It's hard to begin to imagine the lives others live; you are very privileged. Love to you both. M xx
It appears to me that one should remember the past, to learn from it, and to consider how to incorporate that knowledge into the future. Respecting the past gives one a compass to steer by.
Peace & love Good to see the Peace Pagoda. Impossible to imagine what it must be like to loose so many people both in the civil war and tsunami. Great that you and Phil are enjoying the experience so much. M xx
Thankyou Dear Martha and Phil, I'm very grateful for pictures to see how the house is holding up. I'm glad you had a bath Martha. That's the Princess bathroom. No man has ever bathed in that bathroom.
