thanks for your kind comment Thanks Vanessa, unfortunately we ran out of time to do the "top half" of the South American continent (we had flights to catch within the one year limit), hopefully we'll be able to go back one day.... For now it's back to the old routine - making money to pay the bills and hopefully save up enough to pack our rucksacks again.... boring! But we feel so fortunate to have been able to do this as so many other people can only dream of it. Un abrazo.

Carvings Hey - well done with those carvings guys. I have a necklace with the fish hook on, but I love the whale one. When you get back you can have a go at making me one!
Good memories and great idea I love the fact that you are producing your blog in both English and Spanish. What a good idea!
Also, the pix of the glowworm caves helped me go back to our trip to NZ. I think that was the most magical part of the whole trip. I was just overcome with a feeling of wonder and happiness at the little lights on the ceiling. Both my husband and I really enjoyed that experience.
Keep up the interesting blog.
STILL AMAZING! I'm still following your adventures eagerly guys and still the photos never cease to amaze me!
The memories are gonna last you a lifetime!
The offer of a bed in the stunning borough of Gateshead will always be there though when you get bored of those far off places ! Ha ha! xxxxx
My family grew up on this road! My father a pioneer in the poultry business in the Yungas, drove this road on a average of 3X/week delivering chickens to La Paz for about 50 years, he survided landslides, rescued people from deathly wrecks, spent countless foggy nigths driving at night(no refrigeration to keep chickens fresh during the day), I wished he would have written a book to tell all his tales on this road. It would been a great book! However, the legacy continues my older brother still driving on this road! Thanks for sharing your trip!!!
