Interesting how a little carelessness can block a weir and have ongoing consequences downstream if unchecked. Sounds like there is no permanent solution to the problem. Another good effort Rob.

I'd like to drive it too. The paddles are driven by hydraulic motors, so can spin around in its own length.

What an epic and oh so very aussie trip you have done. The sunset pic at the top seemed to say it all....From the red dirt to the goannas and the towns with those amazing old pubs and Jacarandas (I know, they're not native!)..a quintessentially aussie trip. Thanks!

This is more like my me!
Now this blog gives me aircraft for a change. We have flown on a DC3 707 and 747 plus looked in a Rapide at an airshow at Wanaka. I see Margaret is in the captains seat and Rob allocated the co-pilots seat! The 747 is small in comparison to the 380 now.

QANTAS
The early dream was for small centres across Queensland and Northern Territory as their name indicates. Then for a period they traded QANTAS Empire Airways, but the QANTAS name is the one that has stuck.

Marg and Rob purchased a Horizon Wattle (Mercedes Sprinter) motorhome built by Ballina Campers and planned to circumnavigate Australia over the following couple of years, collecting it just after Rob retired in May 2011. The couple of years grew out to over 4 years during which time we travelled from Brisbane to Perth return accross the Nullarbor both ways in 2011; in 2012 we travelled various places on the East Coast of Australia.
