Wide blue yonder
Wonderful photos of your shared experiences & trust that you're still in Yeppoon enjoying hospitality - a long stay - you must be being spoiled - OR - beached somewhere doing repairs a la Captain Cook. (We trust that the bommies have been demure and too shy to encroach upon your hull) Have been wondering whether you have Julia on board because we haven't seen hide nor hair of her since you've left? Is there another hammock for Kevvie? Waiting to hear of the adventures that unfold as you venture further, Cheers, Don & Dallys

good to hear you survived the high seas, weather here foul, bad storms, loved the photos Alex the pirate great, you may win a travel photo award, the blog gives them, you should start a book Luke, maybe you have ???? Luke have you been to watsons bay Sydney. SOUTH HEAD SIGNAL STATION LIGHTHOUSE! My mother in law was born there , her father was Captain Henry Gibson, first signal master for SYDNEY HARBOUR, they named GIBSONS BEACH At Watsons Bay next to the WATSONS BAY famous HOTEL, my sons placed my Peters Ashes on the beach this year, and they floated in the Harbour to the Pub, that\\\\\\\'s where you will find me when I pass, they have tours thru the Signal Station it is still manned by volunteers, but not used anymore. pirate
i keep forgetting to ask you , have you seen the ad on tv about a credit card,... showing a little boy in a pirate outfit with bandino and sword, patch on eye, when a old man in his 80yrs arrived in the shop with an eye patch, the little boy draws his sword and approaches the man, his mum drags him away, he looks like Alexander, I wish his pirate outfit would fit him,I could alter it for you if I was near, keep well and warm, weather is foul here lots of love Ginny xxx

Re malingering....
Hi guys, good to read about your time in Maryborough and nice pic of sunrise, well snapped. Glen left the marina this morning for a slow trip up the coast via the Sandy. He is meeting a friend with a catamaran at Scarborough and the 2 boats will head north together. I'm not sure for how long or how far they are going, probably Whitsunday region. I'm not planning a trip anytime soon Luke I was just gathering info from a "reliable" source. Cheers, Steve

congrats
what a wonderful story teller you are Luke ,give up medicine, and become a travel journalist. Amazing details , I feel I'm traveling with you...I hope the weather is kind to you, it's pouring at TWEED and the GOLD COAST, the erosion is terrible at surfers etc some mansions have cracked walls , the rear yards have fallen into the sea. Good thing you moved out , love to all Ginny, I'm loyal or driving you crazy ????????

Thanks
Hi Virginia, thanks for the compliment. I was a bit worried I might be making the story boring with too much detail.

Interesting that the GC is getting flogged by the strong winds - we are lucky to be relatively sheltered here. Thanks for the medical advice on sea-sickness - I do have injectable stemetil onboard but Na has found phenergen more helpful and its a more benign drug except for the drowsyness. Take care!

Tin Can Bay
This is the first time I have logged in to your blog. It is fantastic to be able to see where you guys are and whats happening!!! I now look forward to following your journey from the safety (if not boring) of land. Although that can be very hazardous here on the coast. :) Julie (from Bundall MC)

Depth
Hey Luke, do you remember the depth you found along snapper creek and the channel leading to Garry's anchorage?
26th May 2013

hey Steve, sounds like you are making travel plans. We came along both these stretches mid-tide or soon after. I think in Snapper it got down to 2.8 m whereas coming into Garry's never dropped below 3m. The tidal range is a little bigger up here - about 3m
