Anchoring
Hi guys, interested to know how much swell there was at the Double Island Point spot. Is there much surf in that area?

hey steve, well I wrote the last blog with you question in mind so probably answered the question already. I think the swell here can be pretty mean along this beach usually, but we had west and south west winds so were protected from wave action and anchored in close to the beach and the headland for best protection from swell and it was hardly noticeable

God it sounds amazing, all that adapting to different conditions in short spaces of time, seems like the open sea will be a piece of piss after the coastal stuff,

Hi guys, out on the open ocean at last. I guess you haven't heard of polycarbonate dinner ware for boaties, some call it plastic, but we know that's wrong. Keep an eye on Naomi Luke, sounds like she might go feral anytime!

Don't worry too much about the wobbee Luke I have not seen teeth on them. They have solid bony jaws, a bite would be like jamming your toes in a door after a few too many sundowners.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the blog and learning too. A regulator is an electrical gizmo that regulates the current from the solar panels and wind generator going to the batteries. If you charge batteries with too much charge it's bad for them, Luke

In May 2013 we set off on a trip of a lifetime. Myself, my husband Luke and our 2 year old son Alexander on our Moody 41 'Luna Ray' with a vague plan to sail around the world. Well that was the big goal anyway!!!! We did plan to sail to Darwin and then Asia but time got the better of us so only got as far as Lizard Island.
