Letters from an Honorary Asian
Namaste 😊 As you may already know, my collegiate travel story is different from that of many other Americans. No road trip down Route 66; no backpacking through Europe or a drunken spring break in Mexico for me. Nope, I chose to play Mozart’s Requium Mass with 120 of my peers to a packed concert hall in Tianjin, China. I chose to buy Thumbs Up and Maaza everyday for each meal at a truckstop in India. And now, I choose to sweat from head to toe after walking ½ a block. I choose to let the guava man cut my guava. I choose to smile. I am in the Land of Smiles, Thailand, and this is my story in letters.
