"Life is not measured by
the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments
that take our breath away."

Best way to describe how i feel towards life.
I plan on experiencing many "breath-taking" moments on my next trip around the world!

Hey guys, Well time has sure flown by since the last time i wrote to everyone. I am now in Cairns, Australia on my Last day in this great country. Just sitting in Peterpans, wishing they would stop blasting really loud music and thinking about how the last 5 weeks flew by. My last entry was from a Peterpans in Sydney right before New Year’s so let’s start back from there. New Year’s came to quickly, i was pretty tired and we were staying at the Strand Hotel, which trust me was not that great. The people in our 6 person dorm room were just insane...most of them worked for the Hostel and i felt like we were somehow involved in a weird incestuous soap opera. I have never been so happy to leave a Hostel ... read more

Blog- 3 India and Nepal Namaste everyone, this is my third blog entry from my around the world trip. I am sorry it has taking so long to complete this entry; I have being very busy and had a 3 week period where I had no access to internet. This Entry will contain stories from my experiences in India and Nepal. India was the third country visited on my ATW trip. We left Zanzibar, Tanzania Sept 31 and arrived in New Delhi the next day after a very long sleepless night in an Oman airport. New Delhi was huge, busy and extremely dirty. We stayed at a small Hostel in the North, the man who owned it was a Doctor and he was extremely helpful. We spent 4 days in New Delhi, I cannot say that ... read more

Africa » Tanzania » Zanzibar » Nungwi September 29th 2011

Hey Guys, It’s hard to believe it has already being a month of me traveling. Tonight is my last night in Tanzania, very bitter sweet after the past month. I have being up to quite a lot since my last Blog, here goes the update. I have ventured into Stone town two more times since I last blogged. Stone town is amazing and truthfully a lot more urban compared to the rest of Zanzibar, nice to eat different foods once in awhile. One of the days we went on a spice tour, which is around 20km away from town. How you get to these tours is basically just by asking a taxi driver to take you. Almost every cabbie has some kind of family that works for or lives on a spice farm, so they take ... read more

Hey, My time up in Whitehorse has come to an end. I had five amazing weeks of great working, amazing travels and meeting awesome people. I have actually being back in Toronto now for a few days, already started back at the big Hospital Downtown. Thought i would write a concluding entry regarding my great trip up to the beautiful North. My last three weeks were very busy i worked a lot and whenever i was not working i was travelling, mostly to Alaska. Work was just getting to the point where i was beginning to get the flow and learn how they do things. I had my fair share of jumping out of bed, withdrawing patients and even a few really sick ones. I am definitely not going to miss the crazy agitated withdrawing patient’s ... read more

Hey Everyone, I have now being in Beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon for 2 weeks. In the past two weeks i have worked my fair share at the Local Hospital. My experience so far has being amazing. This City is what I am going to call a northern Utopia. I have already falling in love with the sights, sounds and people. Everyone is impressively friendly; i think this is where Canada gets its rep. for being so pleasant and gracious. I have being welcomed into open arms by everyone: locals, nurses and fellow travelers. So for the main reason i am here, WORK! I am enjoying working up here it is very different than in Toronto, hardly any doctors and not the same mentality towards care. There are Pro's and Con's for every job but definitely more pro's ... read more

Hello friends and Family, So it turns out i am that "crazy travelling Registered Nurse" that my awesome friends keep referring to me as. I have just being offered a job working up in Whitehorse, Yukon for the month of May. I am going to be working at a 49 bed Hospital in Whitehorse for 4 weeks and hopefully enjoying every moment of it. Very excited for such a great experience working in a rural hospital and even more the ability to explore the Yukon! In case some of you guys don’t know where that is, it is indeed still in Canada!! It is in the far north-west corner close to Alaska. There are 33,000 people that live in the whole of Yukon and 24,000 of them reside in Whitehorse, the capital city (where I will ... read more
