I loved climbing the Great Wall. Like you, I went ahead to climb more. Two Chinese guards even allowed me to take some of the wall that had crumbled onto the ground. My treasured souvenirs.

Thanks, Laura, for another great travel entry. Your reaction to seeing the windmills that you had learned about in grade school reminded me of my reaction to visiting the Cape of Good Hope during our recent trip to South Africa. I could jus
t imagine Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan sailing through there on their tall ships. It blew me away that I was actually there.

Amsterdam is one special city. I became familiar with it and Delft on visits to see former exchange student from Delft. They say the Rijksmuseum has just been renovated and wonderful...but difficult to see it all. Enjoy your trip as you
continue to be adventuresome. Not sure I could be doing it on my own. Loved your seven layer approach! Happy Easter!

I have been thinking about you and all the snow the northeast has had. We had our share, I am hoping that it is finished. We had one warm day and its cold again. I was in Las Vegas last week for the NAPNAP conference and enjoyed the warm
weather and the sun. I enjoyed my visit but once is enough. I am going to Holland to see the tulips also. I leave May 1. You need to let me know what to visit. love
