Laura, thanks so much for sending the link to your travel blog. I'm so glad that your last day in Sydney went well. You looked so sad as the coach pulled away from the hotel. It was such a pleasure traveling with you. I hope we will continu
e to stay in touch. You are such an adventurous soul. I know that even if I never travel again, I can live vicariously through you! Take care of yourself as you continue this latest adventure.Eva

Hi, Your descriptions are wonderful and interesting!
30th January 2014

You are a wonderful observer and writer, capturing so much that it makes me feel as though I am there with you.

Laura, so good to hear of your day in Sydney on your own! You make everything into an adventure! And why not! I too went to Bondi Beach when I was there and remember someone telling me that it had been a real hippy outpost during the 60's.
It still kinda had that feel to it. Hope flight to Phnom Penh was good and look forward to future blogs. Love, Shirley

Well, you're about ready to leave Thailand, I should think... it's a day and a half on this time zone until you get back, so with a flight taking 24 hours ish and the time change, I think you'll be leaving in a few hours. Have a good flight

Wow, great Mama! I mean, sorry it was cold but it's great that you met some fun travel buddies :) Have a great time!

You need more fat on you, then you won't be as cold! See Ursa vs. Orange... Sounds like a good travel experience, after all, you've been too hot for weeks now. Glad you had windows and decent companions.

Love the great descriptions of the flora and fauna. The snake thing...not so much! Stay well.

You seem to be having the time of your life in all these locations and animal encounters. are you taking pictures?/ Ride on or walk on, watch for snakes.I personally am afraid of them.
28th March 2012

Wow, did you get a picture of the snake? I am glad you got a warning, snakes sort of go about their own business rather calmly. Nice wildlife. We have birds and rabbits and mice which Ursa eats. <3

Going or coming, I think it is very enlightened of the Thai to educate their water buffalo! In many countries, they do not go to school at all!

Hi Laura,What a miserable experience! It demonstrates once again that so much of the quality of life is due to our institutional structures and those aspects of culture that relate how we treat each other. Individuals vary enormously and c
limate and natural resources (relating both to beauty and to wealth) are of course important. Most of the pictures we take memorializing our travels usually focus on this. But it still comes down to how we're welcomed and how fairly we're treated.I hope the rest of your time contrasts favorable with these past few days.
