Map tossing You two are obviously no better than i am when reading a map then - i too can head down the motorway in the wrong direction - fortunately for you laura, paul would be calmer than his father, who gets a tad irate to say the least - i bet laura didnt end up throwing the map at a motorcyclist.
skimming never mind skimming stones my boy, its about time you started skimming emails to would be employers - do you remember 'get it down and play' Buckley is back at town a coach after my own heart.
Fudge shop Alrighty Paul and Laura, as usual sounds like travels are goin great, I actually remember the art centre with the fudge shop in christchurch, I dislike u immensely for reminding me of when i was travelling carefree, my highlight of this month is not exploring a new country but my practical exam at the end of the month, I get to enjoy being belittled by people who know far more than i do about the subject i have to explain to them. After this i get 2 weeks in north wales on placement. Paul you will be glad to know Saha still puts minimal effort in keeping in contact with either myself or Andy Lee in fact its like he wants us to stop keeping in touch. As far as I can ascertain, the cumulative interesting events in our lives score low on the wow scale. Interestingly though another friend of ours who i will not name but studies the same course as myself recently got so pissed he ended up locked outside his flat in only his boxers with know recollection of how this unfortunate event came about, this story was told to me by the ever informative Mr Andrew Lee. Knowing the past alcohol related history of this particular friend i have no doubt the incident did occur. Enjoy New Zealand both of you and do the nevis bungy in queenstown if cash allows
So jealous of NZ! Hey guys
Am so jealous of New Zealand travels. One of my friends has just got back and keeps getting threatening letters about her speeding over there because there's not much traffic on the roads. And I'm busy complaining bout the cold over here, so sympathies to Laura and was loving the Neighbours comments Pauly.
Weeze xxx
Who is the sad soul that knows all the gen about Neighbours - the last time I watched it with Michael they had Christmas every two or three months and Kylie and Jason were sweethearts - obviously moved on a bit since then?
Sounds like those koalas have taken quite a liking to you two - mating calls, peering at you from trees etc etc. It's a good job you've moved on else there might have been a very nasty, and deviant accident...Max from Neighbours is the strangely sexy father of Boyd (his also strangely sexy son - though he went off the rails for a while when he got addicted to steroids and that wasn't so attractive. And he's not a patch on Billy Kennedy). His sister is nasty old Izzy, whose single is now out here too apparently, though I haven't heard it. Anyway, Max is rather attractive for an older man with golden fuzzy hair, so Laura very rightly got excited. Imagine the commotion if she had seen Dr Karl...
Have you got a fire extinguisher!!! After watching the Jeremy Clarkson clip about going away in a caravan with his two mates for the weekend - you want to be very careful with the cooking malarky - it was highly hilarious and would have proved your dads theory about caravans - if he had watched it - but they burnt the caravan down cooking the chips for tea. Anyway obviously after seeing the picture of Paul in that mask - halloween has arrived in Australia. Loved the picture of the camper van - who took it the kangaroo you mentioned?? Just come back from our travels in the Peak District - had a great time and the views there were marvellous as well.
The fact that Laura felt the cold made me laugh - it would be just like sitting in our side room then Laura - that experience should have set you up for any climate changes you may experience. xxxx Mum
Halloween Its Halloween night here. Remember when you, Lisa and Michael did the rounds. Do they have it in Aussie, wear the mask and away you go for an easy bob or two, especially if they are as generous as uncle derek. Like BB King (not sure its exactly what I'd like to travel in though) but what a wonderful experience and likewise the driving. Love the photos (some lovely ones of you both), the cute koalas, whales and the scenic views. Lovely to be part of your travels and keep up the good work. Take care with lots of love to you both xx
Supercalafragalistic.... whatever The clocks are about to go back here at the weekend, extra hour in bed yipee. I'm a celebrity starts soon, if you're going anywhere near (now that you are extreme bush walkers!) look out for Malandra Burrows, I've heard she's going. Photos are great, loved the koala. Take care x
Blog is indeed looking fab and Australia sounds great. Still haven't seen a photo of the infamous van though, have we? I want to see BB King! Remember when he sang with Eternal, that was the highlight of his career. Actually maybe being painted onto vans driven by wild-haired traveling hippies is THE highlight. I'm not quite Anne Hathaway Angela! Not a bad film for showing fashion for what it is though. If only I could afford Anne's Chanel clothes - unfortunately fashion's not only bitchy, it's badly paid too. Oh well, I like Primark anyway.
Well you really do seem to be having a brilliant time - the photos are fab and I love the one of you and Laura at the top of this blog page. Make the most of the weather cos it is beginning to feel a little chilly here in England, quite damp and cold at night. Well what has happened to the other conversationalists - reading the comments is sometimes more amusing than reading the blog - have you all fallen to sleep out there?? By the way Katie is that you on the Devil Wears Prada - now that you are in fashion - I imagine that is just what your job is like?? Hope you two are ok as well. Bi for now - love and kisses Mum xxx
Telecom Italia, Helloa!
Finally back on the tinternet! I'll write you a nice long email when I've set up a new account. Pics look great, loved you turning the happy hardcore music off that is sooo you! Who would have thought you'd be a team motivator HA! Take care honey and look out for my email. Missing you lots Louisexxxxxxxx
reminiscing Well it may have been warm the last time i wrote but now it is getting decidely chilly at night - in fact by now you two would have had the heating on full blast and the fires as well. I made some pumpkin soup today Laura - it reminded me of last autumn when we made some and i realised i do miss you both. Anyway hope you are both well and enjoying the sights of australia - love mum xxx
Hair Cut All I can say Laura and Paul is I'm glad I was not about when you cut Paul's hair. I took Michael and Derek along to have their hair cut with your mum's hairdresser, I was stressed out by the time I left. She had supposedly cut too much off Michaels and nearly scalped Derek and you can imagine the rest. At least your weather will be getting warmer, the weather here is just beginning to turn (cold and damp). Where has the time gone, can't believe your now in Australia, how exiting, I would love to see Kangaroos running about - hopefully you will come across some. Lots of love to you both xx
Laura how could you Laura how could you have destroyed paul's locks - just as i was beginnng to like the way his hair had grown - i will not even begin to imagine what it must look like now. I swear i dont know how you even managed to sell anyone one phone never mind 14 - i dont usually allow them to even tell me what they want, i just put the phone down, they are so annoying, unlike trev who engages them in ridiculous conversations about health damage etc. and no he is not called however they try to pronounce our name. Anyway looking forward to seeing a pic of pauls new locks. Take care on your travels - lots of love mum xxx
Everybody needs good neighbours- preferably not noisy ones! Can't believe you told us all about cutting Paul's now famous locks and no photo! Can't wait for the next blog entry. Sydney looks fab, nice to hear you've not been enjoying yourselves all of the time and have done some work (in a round about kind of way, I'm not bitter sat here at my desk slogging away). Take care x
So essentially you've made 16 sales in 8 days. Is it really worth them paying you all day to make 2 sales a day? How much profit are they making on these phones?!
Howdy mate You dont need to buy a surfboard we have two perfectly good belly boards in our garage - one pink one for Laura and another for you. You will certainly look the part - i will ship them out immediately - i knew it made sense keeping them - just in case....
Gettin Lashed Paul why are you not gettin lashed, buyin a surfboard and using the way out surfer lingo like gnarly. Every1 knows for young english traveller to find their inner self whilst travellin they must spend most of the time pissed and definitely buy a really expensive quiksilver or billabong surfboard, than send the surfboard home after using it for 2 weeks, to supposedly use on the famous waves that one can see on the humber estuary when aforementioned enlightened individual returns to their native land. Take care you 2 good luck with the telesales, i hope u know you are now hated by ppl with phones far and wide
Weather and cash Well I have just looked at the forecast for the next five days for Sydney and it is going to be glorious so that will make you feel much better about having to do that thing that most of us are doing every day - work - sounds like Sydney is great despite the weather, which i am sure has improved - i presume you read my email so a little dosh has winged its way to australia - but too much of a good thing is not good for you so hey - enjoy work!!! I hope for your sakes your customers are not like you dad - he has now taken the tack that they are a serious health risk. Take care and lots of lovexxxx
I usually try and sell them something in return. I have a nice coloured notepad which I don't really need. You can get it interest free for the first six months
Sorry - but it's Winter here!! well first month of Spring actually - of course it's cold and wet. It does hot in Summer (Dec - Feb). If Sydney was next to the equator, it would be the same temperature each month, but obviously we're going to get the opposite of Europe!
Laura and Paul - who are they? Hi Angela! I'm a little worried about ruining the enigma, but it's not that exciting really..I'm working at London College of Fashion, and have been enjoying saying that I'm now 'in fashion', without actually specifying in what way, obviously not making clear that i'm actually 'in admin'...But let's just keep this between ourselves ok? I like to keep the flame burning. By the way, I will be getting the next installment of the 'Laura and Paul' show copied as soon as I can bribe someone to do it. Be prepared for a bit of motion sickness though! Hope you and Trevor are well x
