Still missing you x I'm glad that Laura finally came on line to write, having hauled herself out of bed (anyone would think you had 9 months off) because this was the picture of my beautiful sister being painted from the past few blogs: a sweaty and idle girl who haggles the price of sanitary towels. Not so great!
I love love love the photo of Peter and Paul, not sat on the wall, but singing and dancing! Paul's moves are reminiscent of nights out at Ocean. I like how Peter is taking his cue from Paul.
Why do you keep on visiting really depressing zoos? Are you doing a research project into finding the saddest tiger on earth? Mind you, never mind the tigers, what about the poor bunnies?! A request too: please can you put some photos of friends up on the blog; you keep on mentioning Lauren, 'the ozzies' etc but it would be lovely to see these people you are spending your time with.
All looks fantastic though - the photo of the hats in the market is fantastic.
Response to big bro Well done kayleigh for getting the job! Yes we do remember what work means thomas, we too were busy this week teaching for two nights in a row?!! As for the washing comment, I shall ignore the sexism there...
Sponge bob So you are millions of miles away skiving for a year and you are watching sponge bob... I am very dissapointed. Just a note Kayles got her job but hey I guess you've forgotten what that three letter word means!! Like the photos, the dunes look amazing and Paul do you only wear one shirt like Marge Simpson but with a collection of Real Madrid shirts or is it because you have not trained my little sister properly in the art of washing clothes!!
Have got to get me one of those hats! Piccies are brilliant. Can't believe you announced Laura's shopping purchase over the internet, very tackful Paul! Footy tonight, Come on England. (Am secretly cheering for Australia as have got them in office sweepstake, won't hold my breath for a big pay out) x
Hey Hun,
At work with Tom, looking at the blog. Photos look amazing, it looks nearly as good as Llandysul!!!!!!!!!!I'll write you a bigger message when I'm not in work. Take Care XXXX
Got hold of the new Muse album, and it's... well. There's a song on there that sounds like Matt Bellamy is now a big Keane fan, and there's one which is a bad REM ballad, but there are a couple of absolutely brilliant tracks, notably Map Of The Problematique, an excellent live version of which can be found on youtube, although I expect you can't get sound in internet cafes
Sunbathing advice Just a friendly bit of advice from someone who is turning nicely brown (thank you) due to the beautiful weather here in glorious Britain - who needs abroad - anyway Laura your arms and face look a tad pink so be careful young lady and keep putting on the sun cream and you will be a gorgeous colour when you arrive back in cold old England. lots of love and kisses - Nana was pleased to hear from you. Nice to see you getting a bit of bike exercise when you have had such a hard day!
I think you're wrong about Crouch, he did alright until Eriksson made the bizarre decision to take Owen off and stick Crouch up front. He may look like a target man, but he's not - what we ended up with is two players (Crouch and Cole) playing just off the front man, when the only available front man was sitting on the bench no doubt wondering why he was in the squad at all if Eriksson wasn't going to play him. Obvious result, the ball gets played into a gaping hole whenever Crouch or Cole tried to create something.
The defenders have been complaining about not having enough protection. There's a clear answer to that - leave Lampard on the bench, play Carrick or (grit your teeth) Hargreaves (who apparently marked Zidane out of the game when Munich played Real) FROM THE START (has Hargreaves ever been given the chance to play more than about half an hour of a competitive England game?) and that'll let Gerrard get forward while keeping the defence covered. Keep Crouch where he's happy, holding the ball up and linking with Gerrard, and let Owen run around a bit more till he's match fit.
End rant
Looks like you're having a fab time, all made even better by the films on show - 'Big'! What a classic. Hanks has never been better. I'm a bit concerned by what looks like sun burn on your shoulders in the bar though Laura, where's the factor 15??!! I agree about the football Paul, it wouldn't be so bad putting up with Mark's endless football watching sessions if someone was playing decent football. I drew France in work's sweep stake, which i was pleased with but Mark says they haven't got a hope. At least I didn't get Saudi Arabia (cue Saudi Arabia winning the World Cup - I'm sure Lorro says that football is full of surprises).
By the way Laura, with your last email in mind, I just wanted to point out this to you - 'When we finally got out of their we were drenched in sweat'. Oh yes, weep my sister, weep.
I need a rest Wow the beach sounds fantastic I could easily lay and be annoyed by people asking me if I wanted a pedicure(toe nails cut to you) or just letting them cut up a pineapple for me - what a life - Dad says you want to think yourselves lucky being out of the country at this mad time - flags flying everywhere - dad is going to get an anything but England T shirt from JJB's - quite agree in town on sat morning there were even old foggies in their England T shirts - whats the world coming to. Will send Mike out to you he needs a pedicure.
Andy Lee pulled a minga What?? Looks like your havin fun and im still as jealous. rock climbin looked awesome theirs meant to be alot in thailand and vietnam. Singapore Airlines just can't be matched. Readin this blog its amazin how you have just slipped into bein a traveller, horrible toilets, no safety laws and it all just becomes the norm.
Can't think of one Katie Darby is VERY jealous indeed! Although I didn't cry, i'm too hot and I don't think that I have enough fluid left in my body - combination of having a cold in 27 degree heat in the middle of London. huh, now who are the jealous ones....hmmmm maybe not. Vietnam looks absolutely amazing, can't believe how beautiful everything looks. Really loving the blog still, keep up the great work.
Come on England! Chris very envious you exploring Vietnam, somewhere he's always wanted to go. The scenery looks amazing. Singapore Airlines sounds a bit good, haven't played Super Mario since you were about 8 years old! You can travel for thousands of miles around the world but you can't escape Barbie Girl, classic! Take care x
City Legend! I see your club have finally appointed a living legend. Graham Rodger may have pledged his allegiance to your club Paul but he will always be a City legend. He is a hero as he was part of the glorious twelve who graced the hallowed Wembley turf who defeated Spurs. He also broke Grandads window when he was a wee lad in Kenilworth - legend!!
Dodgy looking bug Was concerned when read your blog about the dim sum meal followed by a fat juicy bug piccie. A very popular meal over there, bug sized snacks!! My life not as exciting as yours, decorating at the moment. Lots of tester colours all over. If we just keep buying them decorating will be done by the time we make our mind up. For the record saying football is for 'men' is a very dodgy statement. Most of the footballers I've seen fall over when brushed by another player claiming a broken bone or something as critical then run back onto the pitch after having a wash by the magic sponge! Men cry when they lose a game, not a nice sight.
RE: Peter Crouch He can do some skillz, there's no doubt about that. Unfortunately he has no pace and someone like Italy aren't going to give him the space that Jamaica kindly allowed him
Your holiday Mum I think you need to chill out for a few days and let big Trev do the cooking. We're in Singapore airport waiting for our connecting flight to Ho Chi Minh. Speak soon
Travels Well your not the only two who have been on their travels - after the excitement of Cardiff (yawn) - well the football was boring, but Cardiff is a lovely city - we made our way to deepest Wales - well Pembrokeshire actually - seriously this is a beautiful part of our country and we almost overcame the language barrier - none of those welsh words even mildly resembes the English - met up with Rick )Jez's brother and his family and had two wonderful meals with them at the best hotel spot in the world - watching the sunset over St. Brides Bay - cant beat that. Have walked 25 miles of the coastal path and boy do I have blisters to prove it - enormous - anyway back to work on Monday - take care you two -dont tell me when your going rock climbing again - cant take the pressure.
