La Religion by Tim Willows JF, sorry for the very late response but I haven't written any blogs for a while , so haven't checked the site! I have no idea about the book & have never heard of Tim Willows! Are you sure they're my contact details exactly? I would also be very interested to know the connection,
best wishes,
Dave L
Great Blog Great to read all your news. Seem to have been a bit out of touch over the past few weeks but I can see you haven't exactly been idle! The clips unfortunately I haven't managed to play yet as they just keep buffering & stick. I shall persevere. Good luck with the exams this week & hope life calms down a bit when they are over. Fancy old George getting hitched! Must be something in the water!!!! xxx
Excellent report Mr Lambert I worked in Lhasa for 6 or so weeks many many moons ago, and never go used to the altitude, or the yak butter tea. Cheers

Goodbyes interesting point, just after I've said goodbye to some departing friends from probably the best & most cohesive group we've had since I've been here. Of course you can always keep in touch &, by now, I don't get too disappointed when someone slips off the list of correspondents. I assume it's just meant to be. They're always welcome back if they make contact, or I find them. By contrast I had a long (text) chat on Friday with my best mate from High School, who I haven't seen or heard from since 1969! You're still on the list by the way. In INK!
Speed of construction Hello Dave,
I was interested to hear of the speed of construction and the number of cranes on the horizon. What a contrast to sleepy Adelaide where they have been digging a new drainage ditch - waterway at the end of Old Port Road. SO far it has taken around 2 years with still no end in sight. Businesses that have been along that stretch of Port Road for 20+ years are packing their bags and leaving due to the speed of construction. If Australians were put in charge of building the Great Pyramids in Egypt they would have taken 100's of years to construct. I reckon they must have one man and a shovel to do the job.
So apt Hi Dave.... loved the queuing story.... Bren actually did grab the money and threw it to the floor at the side.... he WAS in a bad mood having searched for ages for the right place to book tickets; gone to the English speaking window and queued with quite obviously non English speaking Chinese people; eventually after 2 hours getting to the window only to have someone come in from the side! xx Glyn
Thanks Again we really enjoyed your observations and the photos are terrific.... love the one of HK at night. The sky looks awesome (in the true sense of the word)!
Thank you! I'm glad someone is still reading them! Did you visit Hong Kong at any stage? I have been trying to follow your African odyssey on FB, not without difficulty from China, of course, but it appears to have been a great trip. When's the blog due?
Hi Dave You sound settled now, as though you've finally discovered the questions - and have great hope of interpreting the answers..............
Keep warm - I'm already dreading the upcoming summer (Anglo-Saxon blood has such narrow temperature tolerance).
The blog is a delight as always, thank you.

Q&A Hi Jackie, haha! I always knew the questions, but have ongoing problems with the answers. I just worry about it less these days, (usually). Possibly back in Oz for a week or 2 in Feb... hope to catch up then.
