Your photos are amazing...are you sure you're not publishing postcards here!!
Had to laugh when I saw you were in harvesting country....how ever did Trevor restrain himself from stopping for a closer look! Isn't there a joke about Com-bine 'Arvesters?? There used to be a bunch of guys who came to NZ in our summers from somewhere in Canada. They grew some form of grain so once harvest was done and the winter snow set in they came here. Friends of Flash and Stu Adolph. Bloody hardcases thats for sure!!
'Arvesters Yeah the scenery is great and you'd be pretty incompetent not to be able to get some good shots.
Trev seems to have got the knack of riding forwards whilst looking rapidly to the sides to check out harvesting action or equipment. ?
I guess our vistas will be limited as we head toward Washington (we need to head that way to the BMW shop in Seattle as the bikes not running 100%).
Faro Yukon's Best Kept Secret.....Coz no-one can remember where it is? or Why? ;-)
Didn't realise you guys were going to be offroad on this trip (as in...off tarmac). That must be interesting on the Beemer!? (like you say 'Supertanker')
Do you mind me doing that thing with the map & posting it on FB every week or 2 so people can see where you been & where you heading? It's hard to
imagine unless you do some research & most wouldn't bother...gives a concept of scale.
Keep up the good work with the blog or are you over it already...don't feel you have to do it everyday...we'll cope...haha
Faro Yeah Faro had an old gold mine which has been closed for around 10 years I think, it's pretty much left the town with nothing!
Yes I'm stoked you're doing the mapping thing, I tried but it got too hard with everything else. I'm going to try keep it up regularly but don't want to get boring. Thanks and take care of you x
ZEN I bought it at one of last year's school galas and finally got to that pile of books...so pure co-inky-dink. Read it about 25 years ago...still trying to get my head around it.
Is very much a philosophical view rather than travelogue. Will put it aside for you.
I'm going to get a big map, stick it on the wall & try to track your movements that way. The blog seems to have snippets of map but I'm looking for the Big Picture!
Loving the photos...keep em coming
ZEN Hi guys...just to let you know I'm reading 'Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'. Have you read it? The first chapters - riding across the US to Montana - would seem to be very apropos of your current situation. :-)
Bummer x 2 Sorry to hear about both the bike no-go and the wallet. At least the bike is on the road and you have your PASSPORTS. Best of luck with insurance! and enjoy the rest of the trip.

You Suck I hate how you are having a great time Ninggg all around north america. But its all good because when you have finished i will let you look after me two boys for six months while i take the bike back up to where you started form. No need to thank me, its my pleasure it's the least i can do. Keep up the blogs it give me something to do between yelling at two boys.
Wow Hi Kim and Trev from NZ,
It has been cool, windy and rainy in Auckland, so your not missing much weather wise. The first of the bledisloe Cup games is on this weekend Allblacks VS Australia, so you may need to find a channel that will accommodate this to ensure you are up to play with the rugby. Also Joseph Parker (NZ Boxer) smashed his opponent 1min in to the first round (you didn't miss much here).. The mortgage interest rates have dropped in your absence to a low of 4.69% (Wow), not sure if this can be blamed on your absence or not.... I see on 20/20 the other night a good report on dog attacks which are up on previous years also (not sure if this can be blamed on your absence either)... All and all aside from the Rugby and Boxing you are really not missing much at all. As you and Trev are not in NZ we will probably get a real crappy new flag :-/
Anyway ride safe and keep the blogs coming as these are fantastic... My request is some close ups of bears and action shots...
All the best
Ben, Ness and Charlie :-)
