We seem to be waking early, probably because it's light at about 4.40am and will get lighter as we move north. So, we moved off from Dease Lake through the mist at around 7am and stopped at Jade City - which is actually just a tiny dot of a village - for a bite to eat and stretch our legs. There were huge boulders of jade everywhere. I found a small bit but Trev wouldn't carry it (too heavy).

From there we pushed on for another half hour and ran into String and then Jack (from our group). We then road together and crossed the British Columbia/Yukon border before stopping at Teslin for a buffalo burger and some coffee.

Once fueled we made the final push to Whitehorse where we'll settle for the night.

Now you may wish to scroll to the pictures but I thought I'd list the gear I'm finding great and some I could probably ditch; so here goes:
•Loving my heated vest, it has four temps and saves me too many bulky layers. I also have heated gloves but haven't used them yet.
•My Schuberth C3 helmet. It's comfortable, quiet, light, has a great
visor (including sun visor) and my music bluetooths to it beautifully.
•The 'heeled' riding boots Trev got me. Comfortable but not too bulky.
•Not technically gear but I'm enjoying Spotify Premium to keep my sounds fresh.
•Interphone, usually pretty good although we've had connection issues when more than three riders are paired.
... And to ditch, well I could probably lose a couple of heavier jumpers but we'll see what happens at Prudhoe.
Our BMW is going great and Trev seems to be handling it well. We usually travel between 100 and 130 at the fastest but it doesn't feel that fast on the open roads.
Great riding so far!

Wow
Hi Kim and Trev from NZ, It has been cool, windy and rainy in Auckland, so your not missing much weather wise. The first of the bledisloe Cup games is on this weekend Allblacks VS Australia, so you may need to find a channel that will accommodate this to ensure you are up to play with the rugby. Also Joseph Parker (NZ Boxer) smashed his opponent 1min in to the first round (you didn't miss much here).. The mortgage interest rates have dropped in your absence to a low of 4.69% (Wow), not sure if this can be blamed on your absence or not.... I see on 20/20 the other night a good report on dog attacks which are up on previous years also (not sure if this can be blamed on your absence either)... All and all aside from the Rugby and Boxing you are really not missing much at all. As you and Trev are not in NZ we will probably get a real crappy new flag :-/ Anyway ride safe and keep the blogs coming as these are fantastic... My request is some close ups of bears and action shots... All the best Ben, Ness and Charlie :-)
