Hi,
I once visited Red Frog beach about 5 years ago. There was no volleyball net then, but while I was there, a bunch of locals created one from long pole-like sticks and vines. It was cool. I played volleyball with them, and then we all went into the water and rode up and down on the waves for awhile. It was cool.
Jeep to Bolivia Hi,
We are thinking of doing the jeep ride to Bolivia from San Pedro and your photos make us want to do it even more! Who did you book your jeep with? Any recommendations?
Cheers.
great insight I just happened across your blog and it was so interesting to read about your nostalgia of the things you saw and remember. It's true what you say about no one else knowing the experiences, despite how descriptive you are in your story telling, or how many pictures you show. I had the similar experience after my first travel experience. Anyhow, good luck in your next trip to SA!
Girl from Ipanema Antonio Carlos Jobim wrote the "Girl from Ipanema". It is quite a famous and catchy tune. You should try to locate it to know how famous this beach is--Frank Sinatra even has a version...It is one place I would like to go.
About songs: We (Chief, Kendra, Janet, Jill and Kevin) saw the Beach Boys tonight at Humphry's. We were actually listening to 46 year old music and everyone was enjoying it. Kali, Kendra and Janet rushed to stage near the end. Beach Boys have quite an amazing body of work. For me it was a time warp to reflect on l963, -67 through their lyrics. I have seen this group more than any other and still think they are special--Brian Wilson ranks with those Beatles for song writing...
Reflective and overwhelming to realize how popular their hits have been throughout the generations...and people are still listening...
Keep up your writing, you might earn a "free pass" for travel...
Like yellow bug Hi,
I am catching up with your blog. Your pictures are very good, like the way you manage to get your mug into them. Most people forget about pictures of themselves--good touch!
This side trip sounded like one of the best.
Nice Job Hi,
I am happy to be following your blog. Janet purchased an Atlas--coffee table sieze so I can understand the geography and physical nature about your travel. If you keep up your writing skills, you might be good enough to some earn a "free lift ticket" for your writing. Traveling for free--or sponsored is a great adventure...
I will look forward to your narrative. I can't wait to learn how you finally got to Bolivia and regrouped after a broken bus ride to B.A.
