RIO de janiero!!!!!!

Well, after a 14 hour bus ride, I made it to rio de janiero. this city is amazing.!!! by far my favorite city. i am already planning to come back and stay a couple of months
we arrived to perfect weather- sunny, blue sky. staying in this great place in ipanema a couple blocks away from the beach. Copacobana and ipanema are the best places to stay becuase its safe and the beaches and good entertainment. Today, I went hangliding to see the city. pretty cool experience. we glided through the air and then landed on a really pretty beach. the beaches here are perfect. i have never felt softer sand. the water is warm and then there is always something happening on the sand from futbol games to live music and dancing.

So went out sunday night to farvella funk club. you pay and some guys come in a van and take you to the farvella. You dont really get to see the farvellas ( which are really dangerous) but you get to dance with the locals. THe funk music is awesome and the brazillian dancing is fun to watch. There must be something in the water here because it so impossible to shake like some brazillians.

Tuesday was game day!!!! went to a bar to watch the game. Lots of people screaming and shouting. the best part was afterwards, we went to leblon to this giant street party. they closed the main avenue and thousands of people were chilling in the streets. lots of people selling drinks and food, random cars parked every block with music blaring, live music in some parts with people samba. the game ended at 2pm. we made it there at 4pm and i dont think i left the street until 2am.

its been raining and cloudy the last3 days, so i have not seen the jesus or sugar loaf. will try to upload pictures later.

duuude sounds so sick to be down there. glad the weather is nice too. brazil was doing real well in the world cup...til today, but o well. keep updating!
