the town of bocas
HEy guys,
once the travel bug bites, there is no cure. So, I went back to SB, got straight A's through a random semester at SBCC and now, somehow wondered into Panama. After being here for 4 days, there is not much I have seen. I flew into Panama city, and drove around the city for a while then caught a bus straight to Bocas Del Toro.

Bocas Del toro is a palce where everyone should go. I admit, It is touristy and a little pricier (but still cheap ) compared to the rest of Panama, however, it is wonderful. Being rain season, you can expect rain everyday, even though it comes and goes. For the past three days, I have been soaking up the sun, going to the beautiful secluded beaches, hiking, biking around the island, and hanging out. There is not a big variety of fish. I have met a couple expats who retired and hang out. THere is a main island- isla colon and then surrounding islands. you take boat taxis from island to island. Its loads of fun. The locals are nice and friendly. Many speak english and spanish. So I have been able to

practice. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Many backpackers come here and stay for a while. Good vibes all around.

I have to motivate myself to leave and explore Panama. I need to see more of the culture and go to towns that are not so touristy.

Hi, I once visited Red Frog beach about 5 years ago. There was no volleyball net then, but while I was there, a bunch of locals created one from long pole-like sticks and vines. It was cool. I played volleyball with them, and then we all went into the water and rode up and down on the waves for awhile. It was cool.
