Well Done Thanks for a look at a very rare successful happening: If my memory is not faulty I think this is the 2nd time for the Mariner
to have rescued some one at sea well done to all hands

Thanks for the detailed update!
See you in San Diego.

Rescued sailor! Greetings Kevin and Susan,
Just wondering if you knew the sailor the ship's staff captain and crew members rescued two days ago? Also, what type of boat? It looks rather large....
See you soon!
Hank
BIRTHDAY AT SEA Susan - How wonderful and a late Happy Birthday from Nelson and I. It was good to refresh our memories of Australia from a cruise we did from Bangkok to Sydney in 1994. And we see that Capt. Patruno was with you. We were on the last leg of the Ring of Fire on the Mariner this past May with him. Wish we could have been on this one but we are working on something with RSSC for 2010. Much love and best wishes to you and Kevin. Love, Gladys Durand
Happy Birthday Susan, Happy belated birthday, looks like you had fun...Won't be long now and I'll see you guys on the Voyager..We'll celabrate mine and Kevin's B-day on the WC..along with Cap' Dag i believe...see ya'all soon...Jack
Panama Canal Hi
Thanks for the info. I will again be using it again this year. Will I still be able to see this blog after you start your circumnavigating? We are only at 1812 and I need to get to 1904 before I show and tell about the Panama canal.
For some reason, the Panama Canal is one of the most interesting places you go. Maybe because I am so amazed by the locks and everything. Also, that they did so much without modern technology.
Have a great time. I sent your calendar last week.
Merry Christmas
Love,
Teresa
Happy Anniversary What a beautiful anniversary story! I couldn't fictionalize a more wonderful evening. I so love reading about your travels.
Jack is in the kitchen, chopping veggies, and sends his best.
Great job! Hi Susan and Kevin,
What a fabulous chronicle you are doing of your trip. Your knowledge of history combined with your sense of humour, makes for a fascinating read. You must publish this when you get home.
John and I are both really enjoying each episode.
Thanks,
Janice
Ravi story I love the Ravi story, it's amazing that in such a big place you found that same little boy again. I hope he continues his education and gives up peddling the peacock fans!
Beautiful! What a great story, and how wonderful that you got to visit with Win's family and Win got to come aboard the Voyager! I really appreciated reading this because I've had such concern for Burma and her people over that last several months; reading it brought me to tears! I love you guys and will continue to read your blog.
I just can't believe the events in Sri Lanka - it is a good thing your ship didn't stop over. The strife and worry are indeed woven into your journey, but wow, the beautiful descriptions of dinner my moonlight and Chinese fishing boats makes one *almost* forget about the strife.
All is well here. MSA finally has an awning. We look forward to a few BBQs this summer.
Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are to be living in America. Hard to imagine the hardships that others take as an everyday occurance.
Will keep up with you via internet while in Australia.
Love, Roberta
Glad you finally got some hot weather. When you are sailing do you go past Yeppoon (NE corner of QLD)? From Kevin's we can see the eastern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. How is the snorkeling on the reef? Kevin said that next time I come to visit we'll go out to the reef.
Your travellogs are so descriptive - sure would like to visit most of the places you describe (not the cube over Melbourne!!)
Love, Roberta
Happy Birthday, Kevin Happy Birthday, Kevin!
Reads as if you two are still having a brilliant time, to no surprise. May it continue to be. Love reading the updates.
All is well here in the Marina. Took a catamaran cruise with Glen, Christy, Raul, Mark, Barbara and Andrew yesterday. Had a good time. Chilly, but still fun.
It's so interesting that the two of you are out circling the globe and stop in home port at the same time a huge storm was visiting. Love the blog. Continue to enjoy the adventure -- we all look forward to your return and your travel stories when you return to Marina Plaza Harbor.
Kevin and Susan -- the Enchanted Your life reminds me of the recent movie, The Enchanted, because you two live in a fairy tale If you haven't seen the movie, you should. Thanks for letting me know about your blog.

COOL!
What a great experience! It's reminiscent of when we took on those "defectors" and had to send them back to their country...
